I've lived in Chico Norte, too pricey, too many yuppies. We now live in Chapinero Alto. I think there, Chapinero, and Rosales are nice. A bit pricey, but full of nice cafes, gyms, bars....shops. It just depends what you are looking for.

well, a travel agent online told me the plane ticket to Cancun is like $900. So, the "bus to Belize" idea is really more expensive now, since I can get a plane ticket there, via Miami, for about $1000. I think that's about my best option.

need advice on teaching jobs????? Hi, I'm an American with 4 years of teaching experience, mostly elementary school in the states. I have a teaching license here. I'm going to Bogota in July. I'm set to take a TEFL certificate course there. I'm wondering if I can find a good full-time job after the 9 week course.(around late September). Or, should I try to get a good job full-time that starts in August, and try to do the TEFL course at the same time. It seems like that would be a HEAVY load of work. I appreciate any advice.
