Zach comments on Colombian Woman Fights back In Landmark Erie, Pa Divorce Case--7 Week Internet Marriage Ends Between 53 yr old Dentist & 34 yr old Colombiana Is this guy offering her $25000 to leave? Paying for her flight back to Colombia would be the decent thing to do, but she in no way deserves 25 grand for making a life mistake.

Zach comments on Colombian Woman Fights back In Landmark Erie, Pa Divorce Case--7 Week Internet Marriage Ends Between 53 yr old Dentist & 34 yr old Colombiana This woman still feels entitled to his assets after only 7 weeks of marriage and after signing a prenup...these are the kind of mercenary women a single guy has nightmares about.

Zach comments on 6 months as a tourist I was at DAS in Medellin this past Thursday. While I was waiting, I overheard that someone in the office had just recently died. And Fanny was not there. Can anyone confirm?

Zach comments on MEDELLIN ROOMS FOR RENT IN BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT-LAURELES That's fair enough nuts_junior. All I'm stating are facts; maybe you consider honesty "very harsh", I don't. Actually, the cold water and inadequate fridge weren't such a big deal. I wouldn't waste my time if it was only those things. What's even more appalling than their rude behavior in person is their rude behavior on this forum. The points in my post aren't refuted, I'm just hit with childish personal attacks. I notice that other post is curiously gone today.

Zach comments on MEDELLIN ROOMS FOR RENT IN BEAUTIFUL APARTMENT-LAURELES Beware of this place. I paid for a month upfront and left after 2 weeks. Here's why: About the 3rd day there, I'm woken up by the Austrailian girl yelling at the other roommate (who had arrived about the same time as me) in the hallway. They were arguing over cleaning the room---the other roommate said he didn't need it since he had only been there for a few days. But no, she keeps going on and on, calling him "cheap". Next, she opens my door. And I tell her I can sweep out my own room and I don't need my laundry done (only had 2-3 dirty t-shirts). Well, she launches into how my room stinks and the stench coming from my room is coming into her room. I explained that I keep the window open 24/7 and my dirty clothes are in a bag. I shower and use deoderant, so I didn't know what she was talking about. Anyway, she left angry, slamming the door to my room. When she left the apt, the other roommate and I had a laugh about it...even though we were both upset. I know I was angry. I didn't pay 580,000 to get insulted. But I thought, maybe she would realize her rudeness, and apologize when she got home later. Nothing, no aplogy. Well, that incident soured me on living there. I didn't want to leave my room, I didn't want to talk to her, wanted nothing to do with her after that. She kept on about my room smelling though, which only pissed me off further. When I left, she told me that she was hurt that neither I nor the other roommate talked to her. Amazingly, she had no idea why we kept to ourselves. Also, there's no hot water in the shower. When you move in, she'll tell you some bs about turning the power on and off in the kitchen to get hot water, but it doesn't work. And the refrigerator is tiny. So you can't buy a lot of groceries at once. That's it. Rent at your own risk.

Zach comments on I don't apologize for telling the truth. Everything I wrote above is true and did happen. If it damages your rep, that's on you. The fact that you still don't acknowledge how rude you were to me and the other roommate is quite disturbing. You can say whatever you want about past roommates; I don't care or believe you. I'm only telling people my experience living in your apartment. Notice how her boyfriend comes on here and trashes me then she follows up trying to play nice. That's the kind of emotional garbage and manipulation you'll put up with if you stay with them. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend your place to a nice, friendly person.

Zach comments on How to Avoid Looking Like an American Tourist Screw it...you'll never blend in. Might as well wear shorts and be comfortable.

Zach comments on We foreigners are not God's Gift to locals in Third World Countries Sitting by two douchebags (who happen to be American) in a restarant in Parque Lleras doesn't mean anything. Stop trying to project your hatred of Americans onto Colombians. It's pretty transparent.

Zach comments on Thailand beat out Colombia this year That's a pretty crap list. Where is Somalia? It's run by warlords and pirates attack cruise and cargo ships off its coast.

Zach comments on Colombians celebrating Obama win Monita, That's the thing...no one can tell you specifics on Obama. His win was a repudiation of Bush, not an endorsement of Obama himself. Any Democratic candidate would have beaten any Republican candidate in this election.

|
Zach comments on Place to watch Obama acceptance in Medellin? If Obama gets in, might as well forget about the US-Colombia free trade agreement being passed. It's already being blocked in Congress by Democrats.

Zach comments on Columbus Park Denver, Colorado July 20th Colombia Independence day festival. Denver is in desperate need of an influx of Colombian women. You wonder why Denver guys focus on skiing, hiking, biking, and climbing all the time...well...there's so few women worth chasing there.

Zach comments on Should I fly out of Medellin or Cartagena? Which airlines allow you to book a flight originating in Colombia? So far I know these do, but none of them offer a direct flight to Charlotte. Avianca Copa Spirit Thanks, Zach

Zach comments on Renewing a Tourist Visa "Really? I've never heard of them doing this -- though given what I know about that office, it doesn't surprise me at all. For the record I extended there once every 30 days for basically the past year without ever having an issue -- though they seem to be getting more inefficiently recently." Only for the first 30 day extension do you have to come back (though I wouldn't be surprised if this rule changes daily). After that, you just take the bank receipt to DAS and you'll get the stamp the same day. I thought you could only extend for up to 6 months in any 1 year period?
|
|
Zach comments on Renewing a Tourist Visa For DAS Belen in Medellin, you need: pay 63,800 pesos at GNB Sudameris bank (No. 63017784, Codigo 103) orignal bank receipt and 2 photocopies 4 (3x4 photos) any background color 2 photocopies of passport info page 2 photocopies of page with entrance stamp on it sometimes they ask for your onward ticket so beware At this particular DAS, they'll tell you to come back at 2 PM if you come in the morning. But I think it's just how they feel that day. You fill out a form and get fingerprinted. Then they'll tell you to come back in a week for the stamp.

Zach comments on Poll: Many In The World Look to Big Change Post Election USA We could be off foreign oil in a few years if we wanted. There's more coal reserves in the US than there is oil in the Middle East. And we have our own oil too. Democrats wage war against heavy industry in the US. Is it any wonder they move abroad?

Zach comments on Gyms in Medellin There's a free outside gym a block off of calle 10---turn right at Dominoes, walk 1 block. Equipment: various pull up bars bench press incline bench 1 curl bar There's also a basketball court next to it. If you do bodyweight/conditioning work, it's all you need. It's not so great if you're a free weights freak. It gets sorta crowded after 11:00 am. A stream flows next to it, so it's still somewhat cool even if you go during midday.
