bamacellist says on Apr 6, 2008, 00:08: I suppose I'll be the only person here who says this... The Philadelphia Orchestra. Standing in line for a couple hours before the concert to try to get one of the 150 $2 tickets to sit in the top balcony of the Academy of Music was a sort of rite of passage for music students in Philadelphia. MountainTop says on Apr 6, 2008, 13:48: De Pronto they still have concerts at Aztec Stadium. U2 sold out 2 nights there last year in like 30 minutes. They might not have many concerts there because outside of U2 I can't think of who could fill that place. It is huge. Funny thing their locker room looks likes a high school locker room. American professional athletes would never accept those conditions.

christobeldawg says on Apr 6, 2008, 22:00: these are some of the ones I remember seeing, in no certain order{I loved em all but am always a bit disappointed that the songs don't sound as polished live as on the recordings}. I used to do some concert photography for music magazines, so some of these I had to do, through no fault of my own: admittedly, arriving can feel great too |

travelingirl says on Apr 6, 2008, 22:32: That's a musical, not a concert! I've seen tons of musicals and those don't count, nor do operas. ;) Or maybe you should ask Houston since this is her post. hehe Around her hair she wore a yellow ribbon... |
christobeldawg says on Apr 6, 2008, 22:35: I think that is the only musical I have seen live. Houston we have a problem. Her name may or may not be travelingirl, and she may or may not be stalking me, looking for incorrections in my pbh entries. admittedly, arriving can feel great too |

travelingirl says on Apr 7, 2008, 14:33: Unfortunatley, I've driven that section of interstate several times. Normally from I-81 down to Knoxville and then all the way over to Memphis on I-40. I hate driving long distances. Of course the roads in TN are usually ranked 1 or 2 in the USA so once you get over to Arkansas (ranked 49 or 50) you feel like you are driving on a dirt/gravel road compared to the relative smoothness of TN's roads. Around her hair she wore a yellow ribbon... |

NataliaV says on Apr 7, 2008, 15:05: I was too embarrassed to say, but travelingirl let the cat out so...New Kids on the Block was also my first concert. Of-course with my parents because I was also in elementary school at the time. Travelingirl...who was your favorite??? lol..

(He had the "Right Stuff"... yeah, I just said that.) I even had a pair of dangle earrings that spelled out his name, not to mention my hot pink New Kids watch and all the other crap I had. ;) Who was your favorite? NataliaV says on Apr 7, 2008, 16:49: hahaha travelingirl! Jordan was actually my favorite too. I loved his rat-tail! lol! My sister loved Joey and we also had a ton of NKTB paraphernalia...including the comforter set! Oh and I forgot to mention that we had to use binoculars too at the concert! So funny....and still embarrassing!
travelingirl says on Apr 7, 2008, 17:21: Why am I not remembering Jordan's rat-tail?! I suppose I blocked that horrible memory from my mind. I HATE rat-tails. lol Do you remember back in 1999 when he came out with a single of his own? Oh, I had the blanket and sheetset, no comforter though. ha! Around her hair she wore a yellow ribbon... |

NataliaV says on Apr 7, 2008, 18:19: Yeah I do. it wasn't good at all. I remember it being played on MTV a few times, but I was not a fan. Then I believe Joey released a Gospel type album. I hear they reunited. I wonder how they'll do...

travelingirl says on Apr 7, 2008, 18:40: Wow, I haven't seen these guys in YEARS! Thanks for posting the picture, Natalia! Jordan, is still by far, the hottest one. LOL Donnie looks just like his brother Mark Wahlberg and I thought did a nice job acting in "Band of Brothers", and Danny over on the right looks better than he used to I suppose. My friends and I nicknamed him "monkey face" in elementary school. I know, so cruel. Ok, I just "googled" them and I can't believe "little Joey" is 35! Apparantly they are going on tour again... christobeldawg says on Apr 7, 2008, 22:13: lc I don't know what era that I saw the Placemats. I was always just the photographer, taking shots for my writer friend's articles. We got to meet alot of at the time famous people, at least famous at the time. We met the Indigo Girls, but when I tried to ask questions, they just sort of looked at me like, "aren't you supposed to be taking pictures?" so I just took pictures. I could have made a career out of doing that, but it would have been grueling, and I am not so much into just being into and around the stars. They are very demanding. admittedly, arriving can feel great too |
