Why Viet Nam and not Panamá?

There are numerous forums here for other places that virtually nobody seems to care about, but Panamá shares a border, a heritage, and the FARC with Colombia (as well as David Murcia Gúzman). And, there are numerous people posting here from Panamá, plus many Colombians living here, but no forum.

WTF?

"Hi all,
welcome to the new Vietnam forum!

By Peter (Moderator) (Trustee board) (Dev team) on Sep 12, 2008, 04:37 in Vietnam"

Since then there have been 5 posts, including 3 from Peter, and one from Atlas Corps, who seems to post on every PBH forum.

In marketing is that called "Identify/target and focus on your market"?

Vietnam...It probably has to do with places he's traveled and what there might be a need for online. He might even be trying to broaden the horizons of the site? Identify and focus on your market..hmm.... well he's got the Colombia market I'd say so I would hazard another guess that he's not targeting the Colombia posters with these other forums unless they're world travelers?

With one response, I guess it's working. It's probably a real garden spot.

Diversity is good.
And, in that regard, I'd chance to say Viet Nam has a whole lot more to offer than panamama.

So we have to wait for Peter to visit Panama to have a Panama forum?

Panama is a neighbor of Colombia and should have its own forum on PBH.

We need to protest, that's how you get things done in Europe

WE WANT A PANAMA FORUM, WE WANT A PANAMA FORUM, WE WANT A PANAMA FORUM
WE WANT A PANAMA FORUM, WE WANT A PANAMA FORUM, WE WANT A PANAMA FORUM

I would doubt that he's never been here.

He did tell me some months ago he would put it on his long to-do list.

I do babygirl, but they are mostly Colombia related, like FARC in The Darién, or David Murcia Guzmán's activities in Panamá.

Of course not!

And Peter does not indicate, on his profile, that he has traveled there, or has any desire to visit.

my ol man went there twice, for eight months each; that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to visit. V.N. seems like a beautiful, and mostly peaceful country.

I'd love to experience Asia, but it's too long a plane ride!
