I wonder why bother to go to university and come out with a big debt them to find a crappy job, when all you have to do is married a footballer, make your boobs size DD ,have rich parents or win a beauty contest be a singer or an actress no matter how crappy you are . It annoys me how come when you have the above "attributes" you are fit and prepare to be a fashion designer, a writer no matter if you didn't write the bloody book, and adviser, a journalist, have your own columns on newspaper and magazines, an actress a presenter etc.. so the ones that are going to Uni or colleges are wasting their their time.
No wonder in Colombia we also have so many crappy presenters and actresses, instead of coming from good academies, many come from the Miss Colombia academy.

kat1 (Moderator) says on Apr 25, 2008, 08:12: My point is, there is some people studying hard, some getting into debts to make something of themselves then they go and ask for a job and they will say how much experience you got, or you are not suitable, yet some ignorant who just happen to married a footballer or a footballer that is thick as a pot of custard is suddenly well suitable to write a book or become a designer or even an agony aunt. engage brain before opening mouth 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Cerealkiller says on Apr 29, 2008, 08:14: Kat1 I know what you mean. It really is sickening to find all these wags who do absolute nothing getting headlines in mainstream newspapers. But hey, this is how you keep working class Britain stupid. Just visit the Daily Mail's webpage... its mind-boggling. But success is not measured by the amount of recognition one gets. I suppose it depends on the kind of person one is, I mean jobs are out there...getting a university education is important, who do you think manages global markets? Posh and Jordan? Not quite... Banking, finance, R&D and Legal fields require academic training and pay off huge dividends. How many working class people break out by kicking a ball around? Not many really... I believe its a wonderful way to make stupid people believe that they too can break through. It is also an unfortunate way to control society and it shows it backfires, just look a the worthless chav culture taking over Britain (and I'll stop there, because once I get to the chav issue I tend to puke in my mouth a little).
