What's with the pointy shoes?

They don't look good. They can't feel good. Why wear them?

I like them! And the pointy part comes out beyond the toes so no, they don't hurt the toes. We've had this discussion on here before. I think some of the men call them roach killers, witch shoes, or something like that?

I you have no respect or understanding for fashion, design or art history, that is OK for you, but you do not have to be arrogant to others all over the world who do appreciate refinement.

What you call pointy, others may call stylized. Please respect the hard work of shoe designers, even if you do not like their craft. After all, you do not have to wear them if you are so inclined.

Bogota, Paris and Milano, are not flip-flop-filled cities like Miami, etc. ...Thank goodness.

I'm not fond of them. They make big feet look even bigger. But I'm not fond of ballet slippers or Mary Janes either.

You mean that the pointy toes make your feet look bigger? I can see why you might think that since the point party extends past your foot. I still love them with jeans or dress pants.
I kind of like the ballets slipper too... in that they are totally comfortable and I don't have to worry about toppling over on 3 inch heels. haha Not a big fan of the mary jane shoe though.

Lol. So the orange T doesn't fit the "type", huh?
In any case, I still have lots of pointy shoes... both high heels, kitten heels, flats, slingbacks, and boots.

They are pretty pointy for guy's shoes. The pic is probably too close up - and obviously too big. But anyway, I agree they are comfortable and look pretty cool.

Yeah I don't think I've ever seen a guy wear the majorly pointy shoes like I have. So I suppose yours would be pretty pointy for a dude.

All real women wear pointy shoes with heals. Its part of being a woman.

Are you a woman? WHATEVER...I am very feminine and refuse to wear pointed shoes...just my personal taste...does't make me less of a woman...
Some pointy shoes are cute but when the point is a mile long...hate them!

TG I love peep toes! I love my feel so I enjoy showing off my toes...

Depends on your age. How old are you?

Let me revise my comment.

You are still wrong bubba! I am less than 30...and I am very real woman...
Are you a woman? No offense, but if you aren't I suggest not to comment...war smileys

I don't like ultra pointy because they make my feet look too long, but I definitely love heels.

robert....woooooah....you call them pointed. common. my sis has a boutique in envigado and sells shoes and let me tellyou, pointed means POINTED. like a fricken stilleto. three inches past the toes. the gals love em. my wife au contrair doesn't wear anything high style, she's super modest and dresses accordingly. a bit wallflowerish. what ever. when she's happy, i'm happy...or at least outta the woods.

somewhere i got the idea that the idea came from the cowboy boot designs from mexico. some of them are those three inch past the toes. but that's not gospel, just a thought i had.

I can understand that the Colombian galz would want to wear heels, because of them being somwhat vertically challenged haha, but why add 5 inches to the front of your toes?

admittedly, arriving can feel great too
