what does it mean?

A friend sent this to me. He took it with his cell phone. It's taped to the rear window of a car. What does it mean???

Haha. Like a play on words... not retarded, but guitar'ded. Right? Maybe the person is addicted to or loves playing his guitar? Might even have a reference to the game, "Guitar Hero"... people who are awesome at the game but can't play a real guitar. There was an episode about that on South Park a while back. Let me know if you figure it out. ;)

Guitarded= 1.Someone with little to no musical skill on the guitar, 2.The act of being mentally altered and attempting to play more than you can with a guitar. 3. A middle-aged guy that injures his rotator cuff playing Guitar Hero for the kids. 4. The inevitable state attained when a normally skilled guitar player loses said skill after over-imbibing in alcohol and/or other narcotics, and can no longer play a normally easy song or riff. 5. One who is incredibly good at Guitar Hero and proud of it, but has never played an actual guitar. Also one who is impressed by Guitar Hero skills yet unimpressed by actual guitar playing. 6. A paradox in which one forgets to play the guitar while playing the guitar.

I guess it's one more sign of the uncoolness of classical music; there doesn't seem to be anything clever you can do with the word "cello". (Although I have often had the fantasy of smashing it to bits the way you sometimes see done to guitars...)

Perhaps there's a market for a Cello Hero game? Or maybe not..... ;-)

There's also this piece. I performed it here in Birmingham this past May. The audience loved it. It was written in 1980 but wasn't performed in NYC until 2005. Hard to believe!

No doubt seriously so - number 1 I have down, number 3 could happen if I could get them to stay in the room and watch me, numbers 2 and 4 I have done with the cello, although not in many years. number 5 will never happen because of its prerequisite, number 6 I'm going to have to think about a while. Is that something like trees in the woods and nobody's around etc.? Does it count if numbers 2 and/or 4 are occurring at the same time or only if it's a purely mystical thing?

Yes, awesome in the real old fashioned sense of the word. I can't think of any other word that's appropriate. He has a gift that is amazing and utterly unique and it's hard not to feel like I ought to bow down, or perhaps look away. And, how inspiring it is to be exposed to things like this. Honestly, I couldn't imagine what he's accomplishing without seeing it there in front of me. It is that special. Awesome!

If you didn't view the video, you would've thought there was a drummer accompanying him. And at times it sounded like a fiddle was playing. He's a one-man band!

Did you hear about the drummer who became so despondent over his bad
timing that he threw himself behind a train?
