What are your favorite spy and conspiracy theory books?

For me:

Underworld: The Life and Times of a Reluctant Spy by Larry Kolb;

The Game Player: Confessions of the CIA's Original Political Operative by Miles Copeland; and

The Search for the Manchurian Candidate by John Marks

Well my favorites aren't exactly books, they're posts, and they are by a well known theorist known as Gringoloid ;))

I was hoping Gringoloid would post some book or article titles.

"The Haunted Wood" looks interesting, travelingirl. Is "Witness" the movie with Harrison Ford? (probably not). Or a book?

Hehe..."Witness" is the bestseller (book, not movie) by Whittaker Chambers. Anyone that likes to read about espionage should read it... especially the Soviet stuff. I read another book primarily about Alger Hiss but can't remember the name of it.

I've heard about a new book that came out based on the release of the Verona cables. Sounds like it could be interesting.

It has been FOREVER since I read it... I believe it is a bit long, but really is a must-read if this is the type of book you enjoy. :)
