Video of US Special Forces Cutting Off Iraqi Fingers

CNN Video of the US Committing Atrocities in Iraq

http://edition.cnn.com/2008/WORLD/meast/12/31/specialops.death/index.h...

I hope the U.S. army will not open a new Haditha-style fake investigation then find all U.S. troops innocent of any wrong doing. I urge you to contact the U.S. army and ask whether this execution and finger amputation is an official army policy:

Cut enough of them off and you could make a nice pooka style necklace. Hey vlad, would you prefer they cut the whole head off like your buddies?

Why go there billyb? Instances like this are shameful no matter what others do throughout the world. As long as someone is worse we can always point fingers and make excuses like "at least we're nothing like 'those' bastards, they poke two eyeballs out while we only poke out one."

It is common to make such comparisons and, on some levels, it is understandable. Situations like this (war/occupation), by their very nature are complex, and it is easy to fall into the trap of justifying things you normally do not believe in. I just feel we should measure ourselves against our own principles rather than the hideous acts of others.

And I know you know...that is why I was surprised.

My point, which I could have expressed in a better way, was that our good buddy Vlad didn't even bat a lash when he saw those same people cut Daniel Pearls head off with a sword on video.
