The latest update from his sister on our friend Scotty as of a couple of hours ago. Looks like it'll be a good 2009 for him!
"HI all,
Happy New Year from our family to yours.
John is eager to put the challenges of 2008 behind him, but is not able to just yet.
I talked to him before Christmas and he was in good spirits in spite of the fact he may be slow in returning his email and phone messages. He's eating almost anything he wants and is gaining weight, but the doctor is not ready to release him from the feeding tube. He says the doctor indicates that hopefully this will all be ended by February and from there forward, 2009 will be a clean slate for him.
I hope my next posting (in February) will be my last and that I can close these pages, forever.
All of you have been wonderful. God bless you in the year ahead. John is truly lucky to have so many caring friends.
Debbie"
