Douglas I am suprised at you! You bad boy. Love is never having to say your sorry? But that is taking the other person for "granted" - Love is avoiding at all cost to take the other person for granted...this is one main way to keep Love Alive ;).....it dies and becomes booooring and stale when you take the other person for granted - yawn. never understood that "love means never have to say you're sorry" line from the movie Love Story. That was a pretty stirring movie, with the great music, and with the death of a true love, through death, but I never understood that line.

After reading what you put (but taking into account I have not seen it) many times people die before you are able to say sorry or say things you thought you should or could have said and they end up living the rest of their life never forgiving themselves. Maybe this is a statement towards forgiving yourself? I dunno...I'll stop and see the movie I guess jeje

If you put it that way....I agree. Guess you were looking MUCH deeper into this than I was and taking this to an entirely different level, my dear, jeje...(the red hot poker comment wa an exaggerated joke, I figured you would take it that way;))

In regards to human error that creates unintended grief on another? and the person says oops! I did not realize that would effect you that way let me make some adjustments...etc...this is possible if the person is willing and there is Love or concern!

But for Old Habits that you don't want to change or adjust for another....only thing you can say is, sorry - that's me take it or leave it....hmm. I am not sure where you are going with this at all.
I have expressed my needs in a relationship and the person has said (sincerely) OOps! had no idea that was having that effect on you or Us....sorry! and made some adjustments. But when it comes to strong personality charcteristics like being self centered or callous? Well, why waste time expressing your needs, you wont get an Im sorry anyways.

I felt like you interpreted my comments as if I believe I can change someone? maybe I need to re - read the thread or something. BTW some people take most their lives to figure that one out - I learned that lesson at age 17. You OK?
