The US embargo, in my opinion, has actually helped perpetuate the situation for decades. It is incredible that "it" has lasted so long.

Yeah, it's whacky alright Robert. Fidel has his supporters here too- including the Mayor of London and a government minister. I just don't understand how otherwise intelligent people think that, as long as a ruthless dictator makes occasional noises about social justice, then everything's just dandy.
