SWEDEN GOT IT RIGHT - GM - GET LOST

Looks like the only one to figure things out correctly are the folks from Sweden. When SAAB (General Motors) came calling to the Swedish taxpayers they told them to take a hike. Their remarks "that's General Motors problem not the Swedish taxpayers". Right on, BROVO SWEDEN.
Apparently they don't like parasites in Sweden.

Clyde:

You are assuming that they wanted the electric car.............THEY DIDN'T. They wanted it gone and forgotten. Why would the auto manufactures want to upset the gravy train that they have going now? The automobile manufactures buy parts for six bucks and sell them to you and me for $130. With a markup of up to 1,500 percent on "Available Options" on all models. With no competition in the business and only collusion, why change anything.

pow wow:

Whatever the market can assume in production of cars will not change no matter what happens.
So the amount of unemployed workers will be the same either way. They made the right decision in Sweden because the government is run for the people not the CORPORATIONS as is the case in other countries.

The swedes make a fine car in their Volvos and Saabs. I've owned, between the two makes, 7 over the last 15 years. Mostly Volvo 240s and they have to be the best, the pre-95s with the red Block 4 cylinder motors. A Miami Ladyfriend, whose 240 Volvo(1989) I am taking care of while she is in the Hospital, has over 400,000 miles on the original motor and Tranny, runs like the day it was new. No smoke on start up and very easy to work on.
