Stop wiping your butt with virgin forests

The sad truth is that most Americans are contributing to deforestation every time they wipe their butts. In the US, only 2% of the toilet paper used in homes comes from recycled sources. That is a damn shame. There is no need to kill trees to wipe off the dingleberries.

Please consider buying toilet paper made from 100% recycled paper. I am not some hardcore environmentalist , but we have switched to buying White Cloud Green and it is just as soft and strong as Charmin, Northern or any other brands that use non-recycled pulp.

Check out the GreenPeace tissue guide.

LET THERE BE NO SLAUGHTER FOR BUNG FODDER! ENOW!

funny aside....not to make light of the seriousness of the thread...years back when i first landed in colombia, finding toilet paper in a john was like finding hen's teeth.....NONE, NOWHERE! i don't care if it was a fine restaurant, the public johns at the intercontinental or a sleeze bar below the metro in north centro.....zip. you could see the folks who found themselves stranded--to use a comment of another pbh poster---they were walkin around with one sock. if folks found a roll of paper in a john...they would steal it. period.

add to this travesty, the sphincter swipe in those days was made of lija (sandpaper) and if you had a slight case of the runs, and had to visit the throne three or more times in a day, that ole rayita was bleeding. and to make it worse, after it would tear the skin of the old hole, it would fall apart in your hand mierda y todo. que pena.
