Lyon is a beautiful city. I liked it better than Paris.

The only thing I liked about Paris was .... it was an easy trip to Lyon.

Yes, Paris has all the sights that are world known: But Lyon ... that might be to Paris, like Villavicencio, Bucaramanga, or Manizales is to Bogota.

The coolest thing to me when I was in Lyon, was walking through the ancient corridors in the old city. You couldn't get served dinner until 9pm, and the food was absolutely phenominal. Any place where you get a complimentary bottle of table wine automatically, like a Denny's gives out water in the US, must have pretty decent food.
