Men got the age of the women they sleep with.

The secret of men youth

http://www.eltiempo.com/salud/noticias/ARTICULO-WEB-NOTA_INTERIOR-4158...

Woody Allen 62 stepdaugther 27

Charles Chaplin Oona O´Neal

I've never been a hypocrite about my distaste about adult men fooling around with teenage girls, especially in a developing country with severe income discrepancies. I was kidding Tomtom about his bad taste in women, yet those little girls in his picture cannot even be called women. However, in his avatar he's happily hugging an adult woman and it's a very nice picture indeed.

A 14-year old is a child. Yes, they used to marry off these girls just as soon as they got their first period. in medieval times, in third world countries, even here, 200 years ago. Physically functioning females they are mentally still children, with the capacity of judgement of a child, with the dreams and the hopes of a child. Children need to be given a chance to grow up.

She is similar to most of my friends in the academy in that it never dawns on them there is quite another world-view out there held by thoughtful and honest people who simply disagree in good faith. Many of us believe Collectivism managed by the State is a false Utopia.

I'm talking about young girls who get involved with much older men; some of them have to mature pretty fast. I have a friend like that, was married off at 14 to a guy twice her age; mother at 15 she had to mature very fast to face her responsibilities as wife and mother. She admits, however, that she never had any youth at all.

well webmanco he is nearly 11 years older than me... well i did have to grow up fast, being a mother a wife etc at such a young age, i was a kid looking after kids. about the aging fast i do agree with Desi if your husband is i will say 15, 20 years older than you,
my husband was young when i met him, ok i was younger but he still was very young, so the difference was acceptable i will say. but i would not have married someone 20 years older than me no way unless i would have been in my thirties,
now about aging well he looks young for his age, and i think I look young for mine, well people can't believe i have Teens so i will say he has good touch jejeje

Slguy, her parents were the poor. small-town relatives of a wealthy family and this girl was a spectacular beauty at 18 when I first met her and befriended her. She had been sent to her relatives on Cali to study and the aunt married her off to a wealthy businessman. She was a gentle and biddable girl and would not go against the will of her relatives.

Yes, she grew up in a hurry and missed all the normal things of a teenager, dating, fooling around, parties, friends. I helped her by getting her a job to be able to finish her high school education, a little push on her way to a brilliant professional woman she is now, in spite of the opposition of her husband to her career. She salvaged her marriage too...with immense patience, gentle persuation and iron determination she was able to overcome all the obstacles and get the education and the profession she wanted; the irony of her destiny is that now, her husband is very sick and hasn't had any income for a long time for failing business they still manage to maintain a strata 6 home and lifestyle in Cali, on HER salary.

But that was just her. Many other young girls have had to sacrifice their dreams and hopes for a career to be wives of much older men and mothers at a very young age in Colombia and without having her drive and determination they have never become anything else.

Desi "Webman, young girls who get involved with older men tend to age very fast"

I agree, or at least they have to grow up fast at least. I am not sure if it effects the aging process, jaja unless you are stressed to the gills, jaja (it could happen too)
In some cases if there is a BIG gap there is something else going on - a little insecurity - a little control issues etc..

Douglas - to frshen your memory first your question about addressing my question
"kind cat...my apologies...i lost track of the "what" note about 5 miles back. if i have to make it an excuse, understand, please, that i'm quite probably the very oldest guy here. i forget things. so, if you'll kinda bring me up to date once again, i'll give it my best shot.

Second is your comment that created quite a response
"morph....you must feel so young cause the last bed mate was 50 yrs older...no?
dwmte

Was this a serious implication or just one of those "moments" where you wanted to get our attention ;)) - I understand the later jejje. But if it is an implication it is a pretty strong one....uno what I mean?

And on your other comment? what I was trying to say in shorter words (but not now)
"no" I do not believe you fell of a turnip or prune truck or whatever you said ;))))

good LORD, did i hear that right.....sheer fricken curiosity. but since there's alarms here and apparently in every other thread....forget i asked. not a question that will save the race.

understand, i'm a very old timer, who hails from another era, where/when folks cherished idle prattle. the weather, the kids, the folks, etc. if you can believe this. we were farmers, in cent. calif. raised/produced thousands of acres of alfalfa....therefore as i grew up, i was a 'haybuck'. hard ass work. there's an interesting zen to it. anyway, when i first heard of hall and oates, some twenty five years ago or - i really thought they meant 'haulin oats.' makes sense, i'm a haybuck, they're 'haulin oats'.

well it wasn't until some 25 years down stream that im watching the tube and they introduce 'hall and oates'. duh..... real story.

so, dear kitty kat, i'm a country bumpkin who went off to the fair. just so happened that karma kicked it into overdrive, sent me off to berkeley 'peoples park riots', free speech sitins, etc. survived leary, hundreds of acid trips, had businesses in berkeley, palm springs, malibu santa monica, bev hills and west hollywood, did research at ucla, and worked all over the middle east, africa, india, mexico, central and south america. went to colombia originally for the enauguration of gaviria as a guest as he had studied in my home town of fresno. ended up spending the better part of 19 years there. sooooooooooo, although a pure bred hayseed, i'm definitely not your typical hayseed. i been there and done that. got 8 kids from 7 mothers and six grandchildren. the kids range from 45 to 15 and they're all beads on one string. there. i hope i've clarified my self a taste. just curiosity, dear, just curiosity.

i almost forgot, i'm livin proof that you can take the boy outta the country, you just can't take the country outta the boy. the ONLY desire i have left is to get back to the finca and watch the cows piss. how's that for an uncomplicated agenda.

re the beads...all the mother's know each other and once back in the late 70's-early '80's decided to gang up on me and take a break...'hell, they said, douglas is great with the kids, lets give em to him' so they did. i was raising 5 of them alone in los angeles...actually santa monica. a hand ful.

Oh my all the mom's knew each other? That would be more common back in the day, but not a great idea these days, jeje. Sounds like you are incredibly resiliant. I have been step mother to 4 (part time) and that was a hand full. But it is very different when there are dynamics in place that will not change, si or no?

dwmte7 says on May 27, 2008, 05:27:

miss kitty....you couldn't be more correct. once you have children with someone, you're married for life. no options. the dynamics never cease and the best one can do is be kind and considerate and, basically, pitch in the towel and bury the hatchet. the moms are a lot like sisters with one or two exceptions. and they function a bit like a lobbying group. they usually get their way. for the foolish mistakes made in the past, i put no blame whatso ever on the mothers. it was my dalience and self centeredness that wrought all the havoc. the '60's were strange times. too many 'stiff drinks' and WAY to much 'mount and do'.

CatGirl says on May 27, 2008, 13:07:

Mr Dw: jejeej...Your notation of "they usually get their way" jejeje
I agree that once you have child with someone you are connected to that person for life, but it is "you" that creates the dynamic by what you allow and do not allow.
Some people make crappy couples...some make crappy parents, some both - Si or No?
Anyone can drink a case of mount and do.

I agree, it is best to work collaboratively. In most cases, this is more challenging between two dynamics that collide, especially in the begining. This is where the precedent should be set. From the begining;))). I think, this is when the focus should be on the child (and many times the child is more adult) and assertive action is best made to create firm guidelines and agreements - so that everyone's needs are met and the child has a strong clear picture of their "Models"....the parents. If lines are blurry...you will more than likely not have your needs met and not be very effective...in addition to possibly effecting their idea of respecting other's needs and their own when they are adults.

Kind of like what happens on the airplane when they make that emergency announcement and they instruct you about the oxygeon....what do they say?...someting like "Put the oxygeon mask on yourself first before assisting children, elderly and injured individuals"? - (Cause if you don't - your attempts are not well thought out and futile.).

OK - now in your case....with that much Estrogen....hmm - not as typical - I can see where the women can lobby....and the children can really play with that dynamic too. My heart goes out to you ;)
we all have different lessons on this Planet....sometimes it's kind of like a game of dominoes ;)

Boy o boy.....I see quite a few grey headed dudes clinching on to very young ladies. It seems to be ok for the Colombians. And what about California....I swear, the girls must be tought to hunt down older men in highschool.

I have seen many age gaps that exceed 20 years, both here in Colombia and in the states. If it works out, I am happy for the couple.

By the way....that young lady in my pic was a part of the Fiesta and posed for pics, not my gf. hahaha.
