A Prize she is not allowed to reclaim.

Yoani Sanchez has been denied the opportunity to go to Spain and claim her "Ortega y Gasset" award.
Soon after she is denied permission to leave her country to collect an award for speaking her mind on her blog, her site is taken down by a DDOS attack. So the site is being taken off line whenever the attacks start. No sense in them paying for bandwidth for false traffic.
This is typical of the Cuban government. Very indirect involvement in activity to cause someone pain when they feel that that someone is causing them pain. The difference is that to them, pain is anything that doesn't fully agree with their party line.
The pain of lost fundamental rights is justified by blaming the embargo. The extra pain for not being in line with their opinions is noticeable, but not traceable.
Did the government have anything to do with the DDOS attack? Probably. Can it be proven? No. Did the government deny her exit visa? No, did they delay the process to hurt her? Probably. can we prove it? Of course not. It is the act of causing you pain for what you do or don't do to get you wondering about it's reaction to anything you might do, or not do.
