March 8th.... International Women's Day.... Dia De La Mujer en Colombia

Just a reminder that tomorrow is International Women's Day.... A day very much treated as an alternate Mother's Day in many nations, but highly ignored in many others....

Just a friendly reminder to rejoice with women in your life and that you recognize "March 8th" as a time to Celebrate....

There will be plenty of events taking place tomorrow, including marches, protests, gathering, all in recognition for Women that have made and continue to make a difference in the future...

Yes, it's amazing the contrast in priorities.... It's really a shame.... But, that's what happens when some women live their life with blinders on and view the world through rose colored glasses...

cut me some slack... I got things 2 do.

'what does it mean, when one of you (colombians) tell another: YOU WERE NOT/ARE NOT. 'COLOMBIAN ENOUGH'?? jejeje..a mixture, I think, of stupidity mixed with a false sense of arrogance.. How 'colombian' do you have to be? to be 'colombian enough

MS - Nice post, I just got an email from my ex mother in law about this, first time I ever heard of this "international holiday". Thanks

jaja, MaFe..you are on your plastica campaign. Yes, I agree with you, but I am not as verbal about it... I too prefer au' naturale as we discussed before, jaja
I am around people all day at work (surgery) that seek aesthetic procedures. Most of them don't need it if you ask me. Some of them suffer from severe emotional problems and can't stop the surgeries...Either way it is a sign of insecurity, correct? Be happy with what God gave you is what I say.

I just spoke with my grandmother in Colombia, she called to tell me she loved me and to have a great day tomorrow, Dia de la Mujer, is how it's known in Colombia...

CG-That's thoughtful of your ex-mother in-law.... Unfortunately, this Global Holiday is EXTREMELY overlooked in the U.S., it's a shame...

Hey MS....my colleague from Brazil told us about this yesterday. He was very surprised that we did not celebrate this in the US. We did ask him if they had a men´s day and he said the joke is that the other 364 days are men´s days. Happy Women´s Day girlfriends!
