No surprise to many of us who live here in Miami. Many of these Grow Houses were located in some pretty decent neighborhoods like Kendall, Westchester, Weston ect. These Grow House Busts have become, at the least, a monthly News Stories in Miami dade.
In a single day, law agencies across South Florida raided dozens of homes and confiscated an estimated $15 million of marijuana being grown indoors.
A law enforcement officer counts marijuana plants inside a grow house during a raid Wednesday, April 30, 2008 in an unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County, Fla. The raid was part of a coordinated local and federal law enforcement crackdown on indoor marijuana grow houses, which are increasingly operated by Cuban-American crime syndicates. Many of these Cubans are new arrivals to boot eager to buy into the American Dream minus the hard work,,,I'll wager a bet many of these involved in the Grow house Hydrophonics are also diversified in the highly lucrative Immigrant Smuggling rings thriving in Mimai.

Tinto (Moderator) says on May 2, 2008, 10:23: Here in Siberia, where basements are common, the pot growers punch through the basement wall and tap into the power line BEFORE it reaches the meter attached to the home, and run all their growing lamps from that source, for free. One of these days the paper will carry an item about someone getting fried while stealing electricity. That will be funny; I love stupid criminal stories.

miamimike says on May 2, 2008, 13:56: These guys here in Miami are stupid! The Cops, as well as Florida Power&light have that sophisticated Infrared detection equipment for detecting Grow houses. Sooner or later most are discovered and hauled in. Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." GW Bush |

Lcacique says on May 3, 2008, 09:55: The Cops do not do that good of a job detecting marijuana, it remains one of the leading cash crops in the US. With all of our advanced technology, la enforcement has not even put a dent in the marijuana trade. Yet, we think that the Andean countries are capable of eradicating cocaine and criticize them when they fail to produce results...it is a joke. Billions upon billions of dollars have gone Up In Smoke, as Cheech and Chong would say. Hoy se nota en la floresta un ambiente de alegría. ¡Y el rumor de ranchería es mas dulce y sabe a fiesta! |
