HG have you seen the show "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations"?
This morning I saw China food from Sichuan and I really enjoyed watching it.

" China
TV-PG (DL), CC

As far as world cuisines go, China is the big one. But, believe it or not, Tony has never been to China before! So tackling Beijing and Chengdu on his first trip to the country he decides to squeeze in as much food and culture as humanly possible."

I also equally enjoy watching Andrew Zimmern. A world traveler, chef, man with the stomach of steel and the host of "Bizarre Foods."

Right now they are showing food from Puerto Rico with Anthony Bourdain. I have to admit I did not like what I saw on the food from Chile.

I've seen the show before...I think he was in Malaysia and I saw it not long after I got back from that country.

China is a great place for food (OK...I've only been to Shanghai, but the food there is great). And eating there is really inexpensive.

Thanks for the TV watching tips!

Yeap, the show is real educational. They showed the Sichuan Hot Pot, a soup and very nuclear hot one because they add two types of peppers to the soup one of the peppers is the black flower pepper.

Great show in my opinion. And he was in Medellin a few months ago. The Medellin episode should show in October from what I hear.

If you haven't read it, pick up Kitchen Confidentials. It was a fascinating book to read, especially since I've never worked in a restaurant before. Quite educational and Bourdain is a fun writer.

I do not know about Medellin. I just hope that proud paisas were capable of showing their authentic food to Anthony Bourdain because I have noticed paisas on pbh are not too strong in promoting the cooking and I am not talking about the "bandeja paisa"
I also say I do not know about Medellin because Medellin is not really strong in culinary as the Coast or Cali cooking.
Well, let’ wait to see how the show turns out and I hope they were brave enough to play some REAL Colombian music in the background.

Monpirri - I haven't tried any of the 7 Peruvian restaurants listed, but this is a good website to refer to if you're looking for a restaurant in Houston:

Thanks HG. That's a pretty good site!
I do not know but I would try Pollo Bravo or Pollos a la Brasas. The names sound very trustworthy to enjoy the cooking.
