slguy says on May 9, 16:08:

i just started after you sent me there, hg. it's sooooo you!, so it's smart/funny/insightful.

great job!

Before you throw me out, make sure I pay my bar tab

houstongal says on May 9, 17:05:

The texture of those eggs cannot be described. And I normally love eggs.

Thx Slguy - funny? I have a friend whose travel blog is absolutely hysterical. I can never compare.

It's Saturday morning and I believe we're going on a city tour today. More shopping tomorrow. Lots to write about!

scotty says on May 9, 18:14:

It's one of the nicest blog I have seen around here. I mean she knows quite a bit about traveling abroad and the site is pretty neat and graphical.

billyb says on May 9, 21:05:

I agree, great blog HG.

christobeldawg says on May 9, 21:08:

I checked it out, and I was impressed that you checked Bogota as one of your favorite places, but on Hawaii, no, only I have been there. Perhaps Bogota will take over Hawaii as a tourist destination. jaja

admittedly, arriving can feel great too

billyb says on May 9, 21:11:

jajaj, bogs needs about 50 more golf courses before that will happen, plus hawaii with those trade winds is hard to beat weatherwise.

billyb says on May 9, 21:12:

Now cali with a beach and a few more courses could easily overtake it, jejeje.

christobeldawg says on May 9, 21:31:

She is like most of us here bb, she likes to live on the edge a bit, I imagine, and that would certainly make Bogota more interesting than Hawaii. Nobody, unfortunately, goes to Bogota for golf, but maybe that will be a good project for me to change that image, since, first, I love golf, and second, I will be there alot.

admittedly, arriving can feel great too

billyb says on May 9, 21:50:

"Nobody, unfortunately, goes to Bogota for golf'

what do you mean? jeje, just kidding. Are you looking to get a place in bog in the future, or are your plans oriented more stateside?

CatGirl says on May 9, 22:03:

HG - I just checked it!!! Excellent job on your blog - great idea too. Keep it up gal.

ooops! ....Did I say that?

christobeldawg says on May 9, 22:16:

Once the golf channel begins covering events like the Bogota Open, I will be mostly living in the states. jaja
No, actually, it is all up in the air at this point, as far as our future residence.

admittedly, arriving can feel great too

houstongal says on May 10, 08:18:

Hey dawg...there's 15 destinations that are favorites. I don't really think of them in being in any order other than the top 5. The rest are all tied and I like places for different reasons.

For example, Shanghai isn't the prettiest place in the world, but it has amazing shopping and lights that can rival Tokyo. Most people avoid Honolulu, but it's home and there's more things to do there than any other city in Hawaii.

I just spent the day touring the city, going to the largest shopping mall here (Mall of Asia...it's HUGE), and watching fireworks. I'll add to the blog in the morning (Philippines time) with photos before we go shopping (no shopping today...just eating for 5 hours!). Just too tired tonight.

Thanks to you all for reading the blog. It's nice that someone is reading it!

Ummm...I think the people in the room next door is having sex! LOL!

Monpirri says on May 10, 20:29:

That's good, just keep listening to it the event keeps your heart going. :>)

houstongal says on May 11, 02:17:

jejeje Monpirri. I guess b/c I didn't have the TV or A/C, I could pretty much hear everything (a little slapping). Just another Saturday night in a hotel room!

podborski says on May 11, 14:15:

hiya hg!

I remember one night in a hotel room thinking the couple next door must be having the wildest sex imaginable, and it went on for hours, then I finally realized it was just somebody watching the porn channel with the volume up loud

houstongal says on May 11, 15:12:

LOL!!!! This didn't last very long so I'm sure it was real!

I added 3 posts to my blog on Sunday (it's Monday morning now) with lots of photos for your reading pleasure.

Monpirri says on May 11, 18:56:

What do you mean it's Monday morning now? It's still Sunday evening here in Texas.

houstongal says on May 11, 22:09:

Monpirri - I've been in the Philippines for the past week. This is week 2 for me. I'll be here for almost the entire month, which is the topic of the blog. Check it out if you're curious about life in the Philippines.

CatGirl says on May 11, 22:10:

I give up....whereñs that wall_

ooops! ....Did I say that?

CatGirl says on May 11, 22:12:

Perfecto! Can´t see a thing now...love it!

ooops! ....Did I say that?

Monpirri says on May 12, 14:20:

HG, I am sorry I did not notice it. Now that you have opened my eyes I have a picture of a Philippine in my computer I never seen I woman as beautiful as the Filipino girl in my computer.
Don't they eat dogs over there? Be honest.

Annette Taddeo for US Congress 2008

houstongal says on May 12, 15:16:

I don't know Monpirri. Isn't it the Koreans that eat dogs?

Lots of pigs though. But my understanding is that they don't have much cattle here.

greg says on May 12, 16:14:

They do eat dogs there. I was offered some dog stew once but declined

slguy says on May 12, 16:55:

viiets eat dog, too.

Before you throw me out, make sure I pay my bar tab

Monpirri says on May 12, 17:10:
