I'm glad it's almost over. Egg fights all over my neighborhood.

I had about 40 kids come to my door this year. Pretty small haul, I guess parents here (and I don't lock the door in my small town) are getting more paranoid -- going with their kids, stopping at 8:30, maybe just buying candy to reduce the risk... but what risk?

It seems like Halloween is getting to be a bigger holiday for adults than for the kids. But I don't live in a neighborhood with many kids so that may skew my perception.

Regarding "Dress Like A Whore Day" the Houston Chronical had an article in Tuesday's paper of 2 girls (around 12) who wanted to dress as two of Hugh Hefer's girls from the reality show "The Girls Next Door." They decided to dress as gypsies instead because it would be a pain to walk the neighborhood in heels. And of course, the mother had agreed to let them dress like the Playboy bunnies.....

See... It's parents now a days.... I tell you it nuts....

And for the record.... Some dumb-a$$ kids can ruin it for others....

So, this was our 2nd year at our house.... So, we really wanted to decorate right... The 1st year, we were confused about Halloween, since the town I live in apparently used to celebrate it on the 30th.. which threw me for a loop.... anyway, they're back on track...

So, yesterday, we had a lot of kids coming around, since our house is apparently the only one handing out candy.... Okay, handing out candy to kids it's what it's about.... But, this snot nose kid, literally tried to take the whole bowl... Hello, no parents chaparone... anyway, just thought I'd vent... He was the most annoying one... The teenagers asking for candy while SMOKING came in second, followed by the pregnant mom?!...

Pregnant Mom? That must be her costume! Yeah, that would suck. Maybe that's what others don't bother giving candy anymore?
