My kids are on my facebook, I see sometimes they post picts of them having a crazy good time, but I know sometimes this pictures are to impress their friends, unless the pict are not showing something explicit, I am alright with it. They have another accounts like Bebbo but I don't go into that, I rather prefer they keep something to themselves.

Desideria (Moderator) (Trustee board) says on Sep 10, 2009, 10:13: Yes, I keep tabs on my kids too on facebook, look at their photos, videos and have a whole bunch of mutual friends. I don't read their exchanges with their friends (except occasionally, if it's about something I'm also interested in like a party we all have been to or travel plans or such) but I LOVE to check out the mood for the moment and those short comments at the top of the page about what they're up to just then. aztec says on Sep 10, 2009, 15:13: I have decided to disconnect from facebook. It was addictive and I was nervous about the access to personal information. The only regret is the loss of contact with two special friends kat1 and Desideria. I have only disconnected and have not had the courage to permanently eliminate my account!

tannedincali (☼Travelguide writer) says on Sep 10, 2009, 19:57: I think facebook and parents don't mix, you should give kids their space specially when they are old enough to live their own lives, it's like all the time you were listening their phone conversations or sneaking into their room. That's just my two cents. Take the red pill and I show you how deep the rabbit-hole goes 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

aztec says on Sep 11, 2009, 03:41: Facebook is out with a new version that may be less intrusive. I am trying it now. You sign in using the same password. All of the important information is automatically transferred. Information on the Classic Facebook is also retained if return to that version is desired.

dwmte7 says on Sep 16, 2009, 05:49: i have a number of children on face book and unfortunately i don't go there. i allow and rely on my oldest son to ride shotgun over his younger sister and her account. he has been very effective and efficient, he caught some freak hassling her and hunted him down and dealt with it. he's an IT person and knew how to go after him. patriarch 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
