Dead Cat in my Yard
Okay... HG, don't freak out...
So, the other night I came home late.... So, my back yard was dark... I saw an item near my carport and thought it was a stuffed toy or something....
Anyway, upon closer inspection.... It was a dead cat....
Now, my 3 precious dogs have never killed a cat that I'm aware of in the past.... And I highly doubt that a cat is going to be brave enough to come into a yard with 3 big dogs.... (each one weighs at least 80 lbs)...
But, of course... They are dogs, and a cat is a moving toy for them, right?... But, then upon closer inspection... I didn't see any blood on the cat... and upon further inspection, I didn't see any scratches on any of my dogs.... I figure, if a cat is struggling, they could get in a few good scratches...
Here's the kicker... My partner was home all day... Did not hear anything unusual, no cat screaming, no dogs fighting....
So, the question is... Do you all think this is someone's awful joke to throw in a dead cat into my yard..... or would my precious dogs really hurt the cat... ?
And to top things off... My neighbor has been going... "here kiddy, kiddy..." for the past 2 nights... This happened about 3 nights ago.... I am sooooo not telling them about the dead cat in my yard!

Or I guess somebody could've left it for you. I wouldn't necessarily think it would be your dogs, although I guess it could always happen. I know dogs tend to shake their heads really hard when they have a prey in their mouths....the shaking could've broken the cat's neck or something. But there's no way in knowing and I'm OK with this. Plus I have a high threshhold for pain. I don't use any novicaine when get cavities filled or a crown put on my tooth. Apparently THAT is brave, but I would rather do that than have my mouth numb!
