college football kickoff

most exciting sport, to me, began tonight. I think Saturday will be interesting, with Ga. Tech vs. Notre Dame, and Ok. State versus Georgia. Most interesting will be the Monday night Labor Day game between Clemson and Florida State. I am thinking Clemson wins by 10. A changing of the guard, so to speak.

Football is OK. I didn't go to a football college so I don't have that affection for it that those who graduated from those schools do.

I do like baseball though. The St. Louis Cardinals is my team. Lived there for 10 years during the '80's. Saw game 5 of the 1987 World Series with SRO tickets. What a blast.

4. They know how to grind it out
5. They know when to push, and when to pull
6. They know how to use their clubs

GS, just because I am from the Palmetto state does not mean I am a Carolina fan. They are Clemson's primary rival, and we don't like 'em at all. It's often a brother versus brother brawl when they play, cause we all have family and friends with attachments to both schools.

In the mean time... the STM Cougars move up to # 4 IN THE STATE 5-A CLASSIFICATION... the largest in the state. Now... if my son was 6', 230 lbs..... I wouldn't be busting with so much pride, but HE'S ONLY 5'6" (ON A TALL DAY..jejjje), 165 lbs.(he just dropped about 5 lbs. since the season started and I don't know how, because he goes to his gf's house every night where her mom is servin up some of the down-home, Cajun Country Cookin... hummmh, good!) The offense promptly through an intereception at the 10 yard line to open the game on the second play... and then BAM! down 0-6! with blocked kick. and as usual,.. the D and special teams made the plays to pull off the V, 31-12 and remain undefeated at 4-0.
