3 runners with ties to Oregon are headed to the Olympics. Track is not my bag, but this race was incredible (granted, I am biased being from Oregon and having gone to college with Nick Symmonds who won the race). What was so great is all three were pretty much in last place, boxed in, until the last quarter of the race. And Nick simply killed it.

Lcacique says on Jul 9, 2008, 22:27: MaFe, it's a pretty amazing story. He got no attention coming out of high school for his capabilities but now he has blossomed into a talent that will be representing our country in Beijing. Most importantly, he is a great human being (like so many of our Olympic athletes). I got my fingers crossed for him, but he'll be facing the best in the world. Lcacique says on Jul 10, 2008, 11:58: Jim Morrison was the lead singer of The Doors. One of his lyrics from the song "Five to One" states that NO ONE HERE GETS OUT ALIVE. I think it was the title of a biography on the singer as well. Hoy se nota en la floresta un ambiente de alegría. ¡Y el rumor de ranchería es mas dulce y sabe a fiesta! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
