Israeli elections put Avigdor Lieberman, a former bouncer from Moldova in the former Soviet Union, in a strategic position to choose the next Isaeli leader.
One of Lieberman's main policies is to rid Israel of its Arab citizens, since they compose 20% of the population and at current birth rates will make Israel an Arab country in a couple decades.
So why does a bouncer from Moldova have more rights than people born in Israel? He is ethically Jewish while those born in Israel that he wants to remove are ethnically Arab. No other reason than race.
I think Lieberman's preocupation with Israeli Arabs, though, points to the ultimate demise of Israel as we know it, that is, as a state based on ethnic jewish nationalism.
