Wife divorcing ex-CEO: $43 million not enough to cover $53,000 a week in living expenses

HARTFORD, Conn. - Former United Technologies Corp. chief executive George David and his wife are doing battle in Hartford in a divorce trial that shines light on the couple's extravagant lifestyle.

David and Swedish countess Marie Douglas-David married in 2002. They signed a post-nuptual agreement in 2005 that would give the 36-year-old Douglas-David $43 million when the couple divorces.

The 67-year-old businessman wants the court to uphold the agreement.

His wife says the money isn't enough to maintain her $53,000-per-week living expenses. Their divorce trial started Wednesday because they were unable to reach an out-of-court settlement.

David stepped down as chief executive of United Technologies last year, but remains chairman of the board. He has an estimated net worth of $329 million.

No-one is THAT good-looking... not even Cindi Crawford at her peak.

(Odd that she would have signed an agreement AFTER she hooked him... he should have gotten her to sign a PRE-nup)

Tall, thin and pretty but by no means knock-your-socks off cover-girl beautiful.

Ignoring what he spent on her while married, the post-nuptial works out to about $7 million for each year they were married. She must be a tiger in the sack or he wanted "Swedish Countess" bragging rights.

I wanted access to health care, housing and education, but, no, I get potholes, trash and silicone tits instead. -Desi.

Funny to see all the gringos on this site complaining about Colombian gold diggers. These Colombian girls still have a lot to from their Swedish counterparts…

i think what she has going for her is that she's a life member in the 'head start' program. her hubby really liked it. so he waa willing to pay 43 million to make sure he was always first.

well, googling their trist, it turns out that she says, "he made me this way" what? he was her pimp? now she's a wife/trophy/prostitute? life sure is hard for these folks. she spends 8,000 dollars a week just getting around town? that must be a bitch? couldn't you have limos 24/7 for less than that? and we have brothers here on pbh who are cryin the blues over being sacked by their paisa for a few quid. this chick is some real expensive snatch. she needs bare minimum #53,000 a week for the rest of her life with cost of living increases! whew!!! that's pushing near a quarter million a month. damn and i make it on s s less than a grand. how do i do that? i must have some sellable secret. this chick needs nearly a quarter million a month just to keep up and, he'll have to pick up court and attorney costs as it's just not enough money to include those extras. poor baby.
