¿ Por qué se le llama '' World Series" a la final del béibol en EEUU?

No soy muy fanático del béisbol por la sencilla razón de que es más lento, que piropo de tartamudo, o más aburridor que doce comadres borrachas, pero tenía una preguntica para los aficionados a ese maravilloso deporte, y lo de maravilloso es un poco sarcástico....pero tenía esa inquietud, ¿ Por qué los gringos le llaman Serie Mundial a la final del béisbol estadounidense? Nunca he visto que los equipos de las grandes ligas se enfrenten a otros de la región, o del mundo. Bueno esa era mi inquietud. Ojalá me puedan hacer el favor de resolver esa interrogante, porque me parecen más patéticos que un verraco, y es súper chistoso lo de la Serie Mundial.

Because it was named that long before anyone else was playing baseball. They recently suggested that it be changed to just "The Series" as it is now commonly called. They recently had a tournament where all-star teams from various nations competed and Japan beat Korea in the final, but to be fair, the US team was lacking many of its best players because they were a bunch of pansy asses who pulled out at the last moment.

El nombre "serie mundial" viene de los primeros encuentros de la liga nacional y la liga americana en 1903. En esa epoca había muchas ligas en los estados unidos y esa serie fue entre los mejores. no existía "beisbol" latino profesional hasta 1925 cuando la liga mexicana fue establecido, y tampoco en ningun otro lado del mundo. Así que los equipos que jugaban en la serie eran los mejores del mundo. No había competencia en ninguna otra parte.

Entonces, es por la gran historia que beisbol tiene que se llama la serie mundial (el primero mundial de futbol no llegó hasta 1930, mas que 25 años después). También queda muy claro que las grande ligas de los estados unidos siguen siendo las mejores del mundo. A pesar de los resultados del world beisbol classic hace 3 años (en la que ganó japón), los mejores jugadores del caribe, y de japón y koria siguen juntandose a las grandes ligas. El deporte es muy internacional pero todos saben donde queda la mejor calidad de juego.

it is called the World Series, because supposedly the best baseball players in the world play in the major league, which is in the United States. Players from all over the world actually do play in the majors, maybe they do have a point?

Same for the World Music Awards, I never got that. They always give the awards to people from the US or England. No one from like the Phillippines or Colombia or Egypt or Nigeria is ever nominated. It's all BS.

By the way, I love baseball. It is really something special to go to any MLB stadium and watch a good game with a bag of peanuts and a glass of cold lemonade. =D
