moving to colombia

i am thinking about moving to colombia in may to seek employment. i was wondering about what i might need to do beforehand in order to move there. i was looking at the work visa requirements but it appears that an employment contract would be necessary prior to applying, which i doubt i will have. if anyone has any ideas or suggestions i would very much appreciate it ...
