I am visiting south america this summer and although I was not planning to visit colombia I have booked a flight from Lima to Madrid that connects in Bogota (Lima-Bogota-Madrid). I am an Irish citizen and I only just found out that I require a visa to visit Colombia. My question is this - since I am only changing flights and not leaving Bogota airport will I still need a visa? Or is there a transit visa I require instead? If I do need a visa this is quite a big problem as I leave on Tuesday!
