sloops ,thank you , but i am on a budget with the boat thats why looking for a second hand one , i can get new for 18 to 24000 dollars ...... so i will see what i can find but started to do up some of the wood work , seems to be coming up fine .will put up some photos later ..... doug if your on your own come on down the keys ....im in marthon for a month .... your good with wood , all you can drink and smoke on me .... jan from topsail is coming down on the 27th ,so will be taking time off to go key west and the party .....

got to marathon ,in the keys booked into a boat yard for a month hoping to get the masts here , started work on the wood work , so any one fancy a day sanding and all the drink you can drink come on down, the boat is here ,

moved out of key largo , and bonced across a 2 foot sand bank to get in the holiday inn marina , im in the footballers place OV ,ITS VERY NICE , WILL POST PHOTOS LATER , tomorrow got to bounce the sand again to get out ,they say they have never had a boat with a 7 foot bottom ever get in here ... marthon hopefully tomorrow , today had to go back 3 hours to get out to sea then 3 hours coming back to where we were so 6 hours wasted ,but worth it better here than key largo .

in key largo , huge in a world of his own on the piss.... having to go back 2 hours and go out another pass to the sound its just too low for us in the icu , in the key largo bay its only 6 foot deep the pass out is only 5 ,so no other way but to go back 2 hours then go a round . but will have another night here ,and then go around tomorrow and anchor the other side of key largo for another night here before moving on , no masts yet but got guys looking for me , a few photos .... happy hour on photos as well ,2 for 1 .....ja ja ja and then on to the party key west party coming up

staying another night in vero went to boat place today ,the out board is now in use ,and air con is working in the cabin ,will be setting off 8 am tomorrow ,heading for fort l ,and hopefully the masts .

doug had to wait for tide to come up ,low tide was a foot lower than normal ,so setting off at 10 am ,45 minutes time , vero is just a place on route to lay over and meet up with a guy to plan route , heading on to fort lauderdale,this is where we may get masts put on ,then on down to the keys , this is the part i was looking for help .... from the keys over to cancun mexico , could head out to cuba and over night there or just cut the corner and head for mexico , its 300 miles so this is the part help would come in handy , be about a week or just over to get down to keys , so if any one wants to help us cross the water to mexico the 300 miles would be a whole heep of help .... be in touch .... will be off net for a few days but will log on soon as i can and see if any one really does want to help or just sit and talk about it .....

doug , nothing on phone .... leaving in morning about 8am .... heading for vero ,thats not an hour by car so if you want to drive down... we plan to stop at anchor tomorrow night then on to vero ,meet up with ken who we meet on way down , jan still asking to come down for a few days but she held me up 5 days in S.C. so cant do that , heard i need to be back in bogota the next 15 days or so , if i do then i will leave boat fly in then fly back carry on ..... still not a word from all the sailors on here that were shouting about helping ..... talk later ... may be off net the next few days ....will call when i can....

thanks for the call doug, i got one of these track phones ,but what they never tell you is you use your minutes up even when some one calls you .its time you use your phone no matter if your making a call or answering a call . any way working again now . got side tracked by a lovely lady in surf city so stayed 5 nights . doug she will come to miami for a few days when we get there . ok the trip , no one told me the filters had to be replaced every 100 hours ,bloody engine stopped ,bobbing around like a bottle . ja ja sea tow know my name now when i call them , running a ground never helped ,but my mates sea tow got us off , had it with the water ways ,we are at bohicket marina ready to head out to sea again , setting off at noon tomorrow if all going ok will motor though the night , but where we can get back in ok is few and far between ,we need 7 foot of water a lot have only 4 or 5 . a depth sounder would be nice ....but so would being able to chart a route ,but this gps dont talk to you like my tom tom .ja ja i never get lost in the car . so should be off the savanah around 7pm tomorrow ,may stop over at fernandina beach and then on down to ponce inlet .well thats the plan... i put all the photos on facebook ,but here are a few ,bloody hell standing on the port hole boat went over that much ... never heard back from the so called sailors that said they wanted to help out ....so sailing on ...and any one not a member of sea tow join up ,they are great ...even radio me to ask how im doing and some times i can even tell them where i am ..... soon as i use channal 16 ,coup d amour coup d amour they come back ...hey ujay how you doing today ,best 145 bucks i spent ...

So there I was messing about on the river ,when a phb ER CALLED said they were on their way over as my friend Doug asked them to check I'm ok , Such a nice guy ,I think we can be friends ,some genuine people on here not all wankers ,ja ja ja ..... Tomorrow got to head to the inland water way ,take longer to get to Doug ,but out of the bad weather Had 2 bad days and nights in it ,but still floating . My captain said he needed charts for the river ,I got them 50 bucks ,he had been on them 3 hours when our friend got here , Ok captain ,we got the route for tomorrow,yes but I'm not sure which way ...ja ja .... Its an adventure and a half .... May be Doug and our friend will post and tell you all some of the problems .... Tonight I meet yoko from nam ....I think I could have bought her aboard But my lips are burnt to hell ....and it was a bar you never had to go out side to smoke , But no basuco ...... my last word on it ,i posted this 2 years ago .... so its back ...... Tipping should be prohibited, banned, period. You know tipping is a pain in the ass. Let the friggin' employers pay them higher wages. I can pour my own friggin' drink, pack my own groceries, pick up my own plate at the restuarant and take it back. You people in these service jobs who think you deserve a tip and think yourselves useful. You're not. We can do everything you are doing for us. We don't even need you. We the customer should never tip. This is a bollocks American practice because most Americans were brain washed to think tips is a way of life since they had that bell boy job, or waiter job, or some other services job, or god forbid rode a taxi. American Taxi drivers are the worst spoiled people. It's not the consumers problem that people have low pay and tips make up for the wages the thieving greedy employer should be paying. I know I will always get an American disagree with me on this. Can't argue with someone who's been brain washed and cultured in the tipping capital of the world. I don't mind it all if they just mark up 10 or 15% on every menu, on every item, and every drink, at every hotel in the world, so the tip is always included in the price and I don't have to estimate what percentage to tip the ungrateful bastard who is never satisfied no matter how much you give them. Let the employer deal with that. Just include it in the price and markup of items. And let him/her tip his employees. We have to buy the overpriced item, we pay IVA or TAX or VAT on this item, and then we to calculate 10 or 15% as well. This is just dumb ass. All you do is spoil people and make them come to expect a tip always. And when they don't get one. They get pissed. And when they do get one, they want more. They will always want more. They become a blood sucking vampire greedy for tips. And will begin to judge people by how much tip they get. Just go anywhere in American and sit down to eat something to see this in effect. All it breeds is a community of Tip Whores. Tipping is the worst invention ever. And stresses you out no matter where you go, unless you are millionaire with money just flowing out your pockets and don't give a damn how much you spend because you will never be poor or worry about being poor. In that case why don't you just donate all of your excess cash and feel good about yourself for a couple of months. So all tipping does is spoil people. Like giving a little kid candy on the street. Every time he sees you he will always want candy, will only think about you in terms of how much candy you are going to give him. You spoil the person. And this is how guys spoil women too. Guys that know noting better but to buy and lavish her with gifts, hoping he'll get something in return or guarantee she will never leave him, because he can provide. It's human nature to take advantage and tipping only encourages this innate nature that is within us. That is why I say ban tipping across the globe. Tipping should not be allowed. Period. Fiji doesn't accept tips, neither does Japan. And there are signs at the airport telling you not to tip. It's not our problem some countries have these shitty service jobs with less than minimum wages. Not our problem corporations take advantage of this tipping strategy to pay low wages and pass the responsibility onto you the consumer then wash your brain by making you think tipping is natural. And that if you don't tip you are a cheap skate. Well you've brainwashed to think that. While they reap in the million dollar salaries you are paying your income on tipping. That isn't right. You really have to question your beliefs on this tipping practice. Besides if the dollar keeps coming down like it is; you'll soon see Americans not tipping. And if gets any worse, they won' even be traveling. Their money will be no good anywhere. The Dollar is at a 5 year low against the pound, and a 10 year low against the peso. The government is buying street dollars and all the dollars they can get their hands on to stop this appreciation of the peso. Massive sales of cocaine by these para groups who are looking to unload their merchandise in one big bang before the end of the year is resulting in too many dollars coming into this country. Expect real estate booms pretty soon just like when Escobar was at the height of his "career" and too many dollars were coming into Medellin. Doesn't anyone remember 20 years ago when the peso was worth more than the Dollar?
