Hello all!
I have recently moved to Cali and I am interested in activities such as cookng/dance classes etc. I don´t care about meeting other Americans, but I would like to find a way to meet other English speakers as I am not yet fluent in Spanish and it can get rather lonely. Any ideas are really appreciated.

medications I am planning on moving to Cali in Jaunary to teach English. Does anyone know what the healthcare system is like as far as perscription drugs? I had heart surgery a few years back and I currently take medicine for it. Am I able to have it sent to me from the states while I am down there? Is there a way to check to see if pharmacies in Cali carry the same medicine? Thanks a lot, I appreciate it!

altitude sickness Thank you all for your help, I really appreciate it! I don't think I will get sick from weather or cold at night...I am coming from Chicago and Washington DC. What is this about parasites?! and all the "runs?" Is this because of the water you drank or food or what? Thanks again.

Danger of Cali Ok, I am new to this site and I have been planning a 10-day trip to Cali.... after reading all this, I am terrified. I know many people have posted that Cali does not have much to offer, but my boyfriend lives there, which is why I have chosen the location. I am a gringa from Washington DC and my spanish is decent. Is it a terrible idea for me to go there?
