tuco99 comments on guitar stuff

Well, i know nothing. What I would like to learn is how to read tabs - I kinda know how but, have a lot of problem, maybe I am missundertansding something there. I bought a few books of tablatures and tried to play with them but found it difficult and I am getting frustrated. I basically like rock and bands like Ramones, Clash and Green Day, which is supposed to be easy to play. So far not for me...It would be really cool of you can teach me some. Let me know

La campina, do you know a good guitar teacher in Cali (if electric guitar better). If I'm not wrong you play music..

tuco99 comments on Peru, Ecuador, etc

I am peruvian. Please do not think by any means that Peru is represented by that tv show (if you can call that a tv show). You have no idea how many times ppl make a joke about that when realize I'm from Peru. It funny but after a while you get tired of that. People get paid to say all that on camera, its a completely and demonstrated scam. We all hate Laura in Peru...(even the ones who get paid)

tuco99 comments on Where would you take your dad to in Cali?

Thank you for all your replies. Yeah, I don't think going to a strip club is a good idea then, if it is more like a puterio. What is Los Ponchos? I like the idea of going to a Peruvian restaurant but for me. My dad just came from Peru. he lives there. I am sure he'd like to go to a typical Colombian restaurant - or Caleno. Any suggestions?. Desideria, thanks for the offer, I need to check what's my dad schedule since he is here for some seminars. Is Tierra Mestiza a peruvian restaurant?

tuco99 comments on soccer or mini soccer in cali

Hi la campiña (interesting name by the way), I'd really really appreaciate it if you can contact me with those people. I get crazy having no clue about what to do on weekends and I love playing soccer. Regarding jiu jitsu, I'd even pay cash for the info, yes, that's how desperate I am, hehe. I just read a post about a party you threw at your place. Too bad I did not know about it. How did it go? Thanx for the reply Tuco

tuco99 comments on the most beautiful word in spanish

I think that if the word has an "ñ" its a big plus. So, my vote goes to "mañana", easy, positive, optimistic, sounds good, and you can give it a full meaning yourslef.

tuco99 comments on Dating Customs in Colombia

Then I guess i'm just a weirdo. Well, actually I do dance, or try at least, but I'd really like to know how. The thing is I always thought it is important for girls that their date dances well. Techno, Pop or techno pop and merengue sounds good to me too. Cereal. where in Bogota can you fiond that music?

Hi Will! Good luck on your search. I have trained BJJ for a few months in Bolivia and in the US before moving to Colombia. I tried to find where to train while living in Bogota, Medellin, Barranquilla and now Cali with no luck. I'll keep on trying with kickboxing, Judo or tae kwon do at least to keep in shape. Let me know if you find something, dont know when I will be back in Medellin. Antonio

tuco99 comments on Rock 'n' Roll in Colombia...

Rock n Roll? Probably not so RnR but Rock. Ramones and Clash, I can live with that. France? Indochine, Russia? Mommy Troll (I'm not sure thats how your write it), Greece? you got me. I went to Mango's in Medellin once. Music is latin music, i wish they played some rock too but nope. Nice girls but you really need to dance good, everybody does there. Soooo, I'm still looking for a place or a partner to learn how to dance salsa with. any suggestions?

tuco99 comments on Gym in Cali

Me again!. I went to visit the gym at Hotel Intercontinental, the hotel is pretty good, the pool looks very atractive but the gym is kind of small. I was told that there is a gym called Flex in the south on Cali, so I think I'll go check. It is pretty far from where I live but they say its a good gym and its visited by hot girls, so it can be helpful to enhance my social life here. Anyone knows about this gym? any suggestions?

By the way, barrio arboleda is close to Estatua de Belalzacar in the Oeste.

tuco99 comments on Dancing lessons in Cali

pleaaaase Come on people, I can't believe there is not a place to learn how to dance latin music in Cali.

tuco99 comments on Cali activities

Hey Rob,
my name is Antonio Hey Rob,
my name is Antonio and I will be living in Cali for a few months. I also like sports, music and women. I'm here for work and dont know many people here really, besides I'm not supposed to hang out with the few I know from work (stupid job policy which kinda makes sense). I'm staying at a hotel for now but am in the process of finding an apt. Let me know what you have in mind...

Gringa Lisa: if you find a place for dance classes, let me know, i might be interested as well. Being latin, sometimes I feel ashamed for not dancing at all.

Antonio

tuco99 comments on Punk

So what? It's funny, I was just watching some videos of The Clash and wondering where in Cali - where I will be staying for a few months - it would be possible to hang out with a beer and some good rock. I even post a message asking if anybody knew about a place like that, but asking for old school punk rock I think it's too much. Gotta be happy with some alternative and indie probably...
Antinowhere League....hmmm...I will be surfing youtube now..
