puerto vallarta go to the stores of the old part of the city,. the ones in the malecon little more expensives too,

You will be missing a great place to buy by not visiting the Guadalajara. Near this Major Mexican city is a town called Tlaquepaque. They have a huge craft marketplace,,,Not to mention Guadalajara is the Birthplace of the Famous Mariachis,,,dump a tourist trap like Acapulco off your schedule and go see the real Mexico in Guadalajara.
