thanks-two follow up questions Thank you. I also wonder if the fact that she is not Colombian has any relevance. We have all the documentation (registro civil, etc.) which can be stamp, sellado, apostillado or whatever at her local embassy here. Also does the fact that we have been married for several years and have kids with their US citizen born abroad certificate speed things up?

But the general answer seems to be that the US Embassy in Bogota seems to be the best (and quickest route) as opposed to going to the States and trying to change her status from tourist to immigrant. Correct?
