Tom comments on Buying property in Medellín I don't know ! guess it's up to your self what or where you are getting property ! just let ,me tell you I bought my place in Laureles 2 yeas ago, lived 1 year on a rent base over there and I would never sell it again, the property raised in 2 years at about 30% so I would make profit ! getting something new is a got investment but you have to invest well and check the location ! personally I would never buy new property ! but if you can shit money, do it ! another thing is, before you consider, check the and ask the neighbors what's going on !

Tom comments on Buying property in Medellín all depend of how much you want to spent ! like property, admin, electricity and so on, El Poblado is estrato 6 and Laureles which I prefer is estrato 5 little cheaper but more quiet and less traffic, the best is if you go directly to a broker ! and if you gonna pay cash you can do a lot with the price

I'm driving since over 4 years my Bike 1300cc in Medellin and even you get stopped and show what ever ( international ) they let you go, but as soon you have a Colombian license, you get checked by the Police ! and what for do you need full coverage ? the SOAT covers 3rd party as well if you you crash ! webmanco, question for you, why do you need more carefull in Medellin than in Bogota ? the people in Bogota driving like shit !

Tom comments on Updated info on Importing a Motorcycle.... go in Medellin to Sergio M, Adventuremotor.com, Ruta 33, Medellin Bikes, my friend just got his new VXT1300 and paied exactly the same as in the US, it was ordered over Medellin Bikes and arrived 2,5 weeks later, so don't make any stress with Importing

Thanks Miguel, let me explain, I live and work in Medellin, since many years, recently my company relocated me to Bogota unfortunally my Family ( Wife, Son and Dog, aso. ) is in Medellin so I would be able to go home only on the weekend, if you see the regular flight prices, they are around 450.000 cop for a round trip and that’s a shit load of money if you calculate it over a month, I'm wondering because many people from Bogota are working in Medellin and wise versa, flying back home every weekend and I don't thing that any company is paying for that ! so how are they do it ? comparing to a Colombia salary ? I called Avianca but the Lady couldn’t help me right now because it's Sunday !!!! and I guess she was pissed because she had to work today !

Tom comments on Hotel in Cisneros, Antioquia please hey, don't worry about the safty in Cisneros, off course there is Police and Military, I'm there more or less 4-5 times a year ! for Party and Nature it is the best place !

Tom comments on Hotel in Cisneros, Antioquia please OK, in Cisneros there are a few Hotels, but none of them has any *** because Cisneros is a very smal but nice Pueblo, you can just go there and ask for a Hotel, because it is not possible to make any reservations over the internet or phone as far as I know, the best one with pool and Bar is "Brisas del Nus"

OK children I assume you dont't need a Licore Licence, first register you name and the name of the restaurant at the Camera of Comercial and actually then you are free if you fulfill all the requrimends to operate a resaurant which comes as well from the Camera, so but over all it is very easy without any stress, as well it is much easier if there is akready a license registed at the building or local

Tom comments on Never ever try to ship with AB AB thanks for your help guys, the value of the Laptop is $1600 and I'm not sure if the uncle of my wife left it in the original Boxes neither if he played any tax for it ( I assume so ) but anyway the deal right now is that the Laptop is stock in Cali and AB said that the can do nothing only wait until DIAN is not stopping and checking any transportation or I need to fly to Cali to there office and pick it up even I offered that they can take the Laptop out of the Box and send it like it is to me, but answer was I) would loose the insurense.............sucks I need that one to work and next Monday its already 5 weeks !
