well I asked him and unfortunatley he said they start off (fresh out school) like around 1,000-1,500 a month but they have really good benefits and the cost of housing and food there is very cheap. Also he said that some make around 5,000 a month if you are good and have lots of experience, which is alot of money there. Also every 6 months they get a bonus check that equals 1 month's pay.

OMG! I just totaly realized I did not answer your question. I am SOO sorry, I was thinking you were asking about a job(so many pple do). Well, Im not personaly sure of the salary but I can ask my boyfriend Im sure he will know. Im at work now, I will find out and get back with you on that :)

hello, I got your email( i hope your the same zombie..lol) anyway, Unfortunatley I dont know of any biologist jobs there for anyone who isnt fluent in spanish. But if you are I know they have a huge agriculture and eco industry. If you are an enviromental biologist you should be able to find work. Actualy on one of my visits I noticed they were hiring for a lab tech at their "state" agriculture center. This of course was in bucaramanga and about a year ago...but the point is there are jobs for that field. Now Im not sure as far as medical/micro biologist go? But there are lots of hospitals and what hospital isnt always hiring? hope that helps :)

well my boyfriend came to the states in 2000. He got his degree and went back this pass july. He likes the states but he LOVES his country. When we first met all he talked about was his country and how the negative stereotypes about it are wrong. He admits that colombia has issues, but he has hope that things will get better. When we talk on the phone he tells me how much his city (bucaramanga) is growing and developing :). He could easy come to the states and stay forever, but he likes living there and I like it too.

My boyfriends husband is a "gringo" but she is the bread winner! she makes the big bucks...he just graduated. And they both live in the states but she moved their on her own for school. And then me him..and not for a green card

you know it's such bs when they say milk is goin up because of gas going up. First gas has no reason to be this high anyway. And milk is going up because simply ...it can. Just like gas, they know milk is one of those things ppl cannot substitute and just gotta have. So they know if they raise the price ppl will pay. It's so messed up and im not buying that "cows arent getting the corn they need..blah blah" that's the equivalent (to me) of ppl saying "gas is running out and theres not enough...so we have to jack up the prices" It's just not right

WOW john. sadly you are right, however younger woman who date men for their money are almost ALWAYS cheating on them with hot guys their age and eventualy they take your money and leave after they start making their own or dont need yours any more. I hate to say it but I know a certain someone who was dating a football player (not hot) and he asked to marry her, and she actually planned a 2 year max marrage so she could leave after college with his money......I know that's f* up but she was hanging around model chicks who where all rooting her on. But after a accident and fall out with the girls, she stopped hanging out with them and changed her views about liffe altogether

well I can tell you that my boyfriend is Colombian and we have been together for a year now. He is the most wonderful man I have ever been with and I absolutley looove him and he looooves me. And he could be chinesse, persian, african or etc. and it wouldn't make a difference. I hate to sound cliche but it is the inside that counts. The point is you and I as woman have GREAT intuition and if you sense something is up get out now! Because men of all kind can scam for what ever reason. me entiende?

Kramer is right. But as a younger woman I have always been attracted to older men..but then I though what if he dies before I do! or gets all old and I have to spend my youth taking care of him and my mom! But then I think what if my boyfriend (my age) decides to leave me when we are older for a younger woman! and what if we have kids, do you know how hard it is for single moms over 40 to get a decent date! These fears have actualy made me consider not having kids. I guess the point is you never know who you will fall in love with, but if it's true love It all works out in the end...at least that's what I hope?

Oh yeah you will be walk up and down hills alot so buy some dr. scholl's inserts for your wedges or heels. And if you are going to do outdoors stuff like hike, rafting or mountain climbing thats when you break out the sneakers and fitness wear. If you are goin clubin BEWARE their drinks are strong and you cant even tell by the tast. For the first time in my life i got fall over drunk and a serious hangover from 1 drink! I will show you a pic of the drink if someone tells me how to post a pic?

I can give you a clue about the clothes (Im all about fashion :) ) well I can tell you one thing the woman love to wear TIGHT jeans the tighter the better jajaja. But seriously tight jeans and cute tank tops, like spahgetti straps.You dont have to look too fancy. skirts (not really short ones) and shorts. Even though it is hot they still wear jeans and the men never wear sandals. NO sandals! not even for girls. strictly heels and some even wear boots. I took my rainbows down there and litteraly hid them, wouldnt be caught goin anywhere in those. Now of course Im talking about looking cute, but remember be safe DO NOT wear gold and expensive jewelery. And if this is your first time and you dont know anyone there dont over due the sexy b/c you dont wana draw attention if you are in a place you are not familar with. Just keep it cute and simple durring the day and do it up at night :) .

Maybe I will be able to pick some info up from you while im there. y gator, si yo hablo mas espanol ahora :), pero estudie mas. Espero que yo puedo hacerlo todo los dias. es importante que yo se el language? (como si dice "language en espanol...anyway) antes de enero. Or at least know alot more than I know now. My boyfriend works alot so I dont like to bug him every five seconds. I want to impress him by doing it myself :)

I have the perfect book for you, It is called "501 verbs" in spanish. It teaches all the 14 tenses in spanish. There are 7 simple and 7complex and they teach you in detail exactlay how to use them. You can get the book almost anywhere especialy on-line or a student book store. It helped me ALOT! good luck :)

It depends. My boyfriend is colombian (spanish indian) and I am black. And his friends will call me a gringo. But black people their are usually called negro (black man) or negra (black woman). I personally think they would more likley call a white person a gringo.
