Mesitas del Colegio
These are some photos from our vist to Mesitas del Colegio, which is a real laid-back, relaxing place. We stayed there for about a week and had a great time just kicking it and taking it easy. It's lush and green and the temperature is perfect too.
Colombians, Tortillas, and Arepas
I grew up with tortillas so for me they are part of the Mexican eating experience. You can't eat a taco, burrito, enchiladas, migas, quesadillas and a host of other Mexican food with out one. Even if they aren't part of the actual dish, tortillas are a great culinary tool to soak up sauces or to scoop up beans and rice. You can also use them in many other ways. My wife and I just came back from another trip to our home away from home, Colombia. Every year we check out a new place and this year we decided to go to Via de Leyva. I found it touristy, but from the standpoint of photography it was a dream come true. The light there is truly amazing. We got up early enough so that we had the town pretty much to ourselves and I could explore the entire pueblito with no trouble.
