slguy comments on Favorite 60s and 70s Television i used to drool over barbara eden's "jeanie" outfit...before i would have even known what to do with her. what a body that gal had- and still has, last i saw her!
slguy comments on Favorite 60s and 70s Television ahhhhh yes. the avengers. emma still occasionally causes a twinge of nostalgia... for a while, my pals and i all had "man from uncle" guns, etc.
slguy comments on Miami Herald columnist on Argentina mike, i didn't say he's always right - only that he's smart and pragmatic. even when i disagree w/ him, it's rarely because his position is not well-reasoned. usually just differing perspectives.
slguy comments on Hostage Release oh come on, cassini! you can do better than those feeble attempts, can't you?
slguy comments on Business Venture in Colombia ask our very own taxi entrepreneur, elmo, how he's doing! his is even jealouswomanproof - dark tinted windows. ;)
slguy comments on Miami Herald columnist on Argentina oppenheimer is my favorite columnist. pragmatic and smart. he's answered my emails, too, mike.
slguy comments on are you from the usa and have you be a victim of gangs i have a feeling that a gang of pirates is gonna board my boat soon, for the renaming ceremony. does that count?
slguy comments on Favorite 60s and 70s Television ii leaned towards spies - the man from u.n.c.l.e.. and that brit spy show with the hot emma? too old to remember the title...
slguy comments on Colombian uncle/tio elmo, i'm a southern boy, as you know, not a colombian - but my uncles stopped gettin' "uncle billybob" from me the fiirst time we had a drink together - especially when i was buying. ;)
slguy comments on Debt... Can they track me down in Colombia? i don't know, usher...thirsty friends are a pretty good charity. ;)
slguy comments on Colombianos en Estados Unidos "OK, two guys who won't even drive to buy food somewhere is just pathetic." for me, even worse is the mother who has so little self-image, besides letting being a mom define her existence.
slguy comments on Hostage Release cg, my favorite columnist consistently refers to "venezuela's narcissist leninist leader". accurate description, in my view.
slguy comments on Colombianos en Estados Unidos i always wondered how much guilt she must have dumped on those guys..."i haven't gotten laid since your father passed 23 years ago - i''ve been too busy cooking for you two lazy lil turds!"
slguy comments on Colombianos en Estados Unidos my thoughts exactly, elmo. in fact, i may even have made that very suggestion to mom. ;)
slguy comments on Debt... Can they track me down in Colombia? usher, since your plan is motivated by desire to punish the bank, not profit personnally - i assume you'll be donating the 3,000 to charity? ;)
slguy comments on Colombianos en Estados Unidos "two college-educated, employed, unmarried, over-the-age-of-35 Colombian brothers sharing a bedroom" i once had a peruvian woman refuse to accompany me for a long weekend at the beach - because "who would cook for my sons?" (yes...the 36-year-old twin sons who each owned successful bsinesses) that was the last time she heard from this old pirate, btw.

slguy comments on Colombia president: Interpol report is strong evidence of Venezuelan support for rebels unless/until someone finds the equivilent of a "key" in all those doocuments, something incredibly stupid like " en futuro, llamar chavez "angel" ", legally all you have are suppositions. i have no doubt the suppositions are correct....but they are FAR from proven.
slguy comments on Colombianos en Estados Unidos maybe.. ;) sometimes i just can't resist yanking your chain, simon...you puff up so fast. i understand/admire more than you know....and agree w/ you, for the most part. peace.
slguy comments on Colombianos en Estados Unidos in our culture, we love our children enough to instill self-sufficiency and independent spirits in them, and try not to be so selfish that we would sacrifce these qualities to our own selfish interests......plus, the ability to get laid in our own beds when we're adults. ;) while you can claim whatever pleases you, simon - i have known PLENTY of single latinas who would MUCH prefer living on their own - except for incurring daddy's wrath for leaving his house before marriage. your platitudes are cute, but my experience shows me that this tradition is FAR more about control than love...
slguy comments on Colombia president: Interpol report is strong evidence of Venezuelan support for rebels romy's correct. interpol only verfied authenticity....they made zero claims,or even investigations, as to interpreting the contents.
slguy comments on Hostage Release hmmmmm....does that mean we should begin expecting FARC to at least read the geneva conventions? i also don't see our troops today, injured or killed in iraq, as casualties of war, but as victims of terrorism. maybe i'm crazy, but "war" for me implies two sovereign nations - not one nation fighting narcotrafficking scumbags.
slguy comments on Hostage Release prisoners of war? victims of terrorism, plain and simple - unless you're a FARC apologist.
slguy comments on Un papel en blanco tiene más valor legal que las supuestas computadoras de Raúl Reyes certainly not me....
slguy comments on Another Terror Sponsor Obama Has Promised to Meet: Hugo Chavez but sometimes you can - libya, for example.
slguy comments on Chavez tells Colombia not to build base for US kidding aside - i worry about what happens when the border these FARC bastards scamper over is venezuela, not ecuador, and a high-value target is included. uribe apologized to ecuador - but rightfully never promised it wouldn't happen again.
slguy comments on Colombia president: Interpol report is strong evidence of Venezuelan support for rebels i've come to think of cassini as "buggy the bandwidth bandit".
slguy comments on Colombianos en Estados Unidos i have yet to understand why anyone would glorify a tradition of people in their 20s-40s still living with mommy and daddy. i can understand economic necessity...but if the offspring have the economic means to be independent, what's so wonderful about staying in the parents' home? strikes me it's just a failure to instill self-sufficiency.
slguy comments on Un papel en blanco tiene más valor legal que las supuestas computadoras de Raúl Reyes i skimmed the first 30 pages. what struck me first was the sheer volume. interpol says that at 100 pages per day, it would take a person 1,000 years to read everything there... it seems to me the debate has moved from authenticity of the files to interpretation. basically, a pissin' contest over semantics. prolly similar to "we know he did it, we just can't prove it in court"...
slguy comments on Colombia president: Interpol report is strong evidence of Venezuelan support for rebels connie mack is my congressman. his office just received an "attaboy" email from me.
slguy comments on Another Terror Sponsor Obama Has Promised to Meet: Hugo Chavez douglas is correct. we have much rebuilding to do internationally. i don't see how talking to these peabains can hurt.
slguy comments on Gringo Shooting Followup "I also believe that there are other people on here to make up complete BS stories." couldn't help but join their ranks, eh?

slguy comments on Need some help with my Fiance's daughter having raised three kids w/ two similar biological fathers, i know both the child's pain and the joy of filling the gap in her life. my hat's off to you, ray - and i wish you and your new family all the best!
slguy comments on Things that make you go mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. "But it doesn't look any worse than this fish ball we had last night in a shabu shabu restaurant." in that case, we all await photographic evidence of you embryonic derring-do....;)
slguy comments on Need some help with my Fiance's daughter wow. tough situation! once he leaves for venezuela, i see potential for a REAL can of worms. seems to me, first oughta be colombian adoption, then....but Estaban the Lawyer would be worth consulting with, i bet!
slguy comments on Need some help with my Fiance's daughter i can't speak from experience, but logic tells me that the ultimate goal (admittedly maybe very long term!) would be adoption in both countries. seems you'd have all the angles covered then..
slguy comments on to live in Colombia ? "Hans, most people in the cities in Colombia don't live in houses but rather in buildings" no, you said most people in colombia live in buildings, not houses. completely different thing from what current construction is. tone was correct when he told you to stick to bogota...
slguy comments on "Jeffs" Polygamists Sect Members in Canada Receive Pressure i was just wondering aloud about cause/effect. ;) it's too late at nite not to lite ya up a litttle, dawg...;)
slguy comments on "Jeffs" Polygamists Sect Members in Canada Receive Pressure "she ultimately seemed to be a Zombie" ummmm, and how long did you date her, and when did the zombie symptoms appear? ;)
slguy comments on to live in Colombia ? "but you have been to a housing fair!" my point exactly, des.
slguy comments on Gringo Shooting on Friday "I do not have the time or desire to post on this board." pretty long post for a guy that has no time/desire to post here. ;)
"It's a photo that I found on the net and there is no girl on earth that can match her beauty. ;>)" 1. if you only found her on the net, why so protective - you know her now? 2. all due respect...you're gonna have to prove to me the most beautiful women on the planet isn't latina...;)

slguy comments on Colombian paramilitary warlords extradited W has nothing to do with it. i've been in places, and involved in projects, that also had UN involvement. i know firsthand of what i speak in this matter, buggy - do you? or are you only limited to cut'n'paste experience?
