seacritter comments on What will be the solution to this conflict? Well... Chavez is pretty much the barking chihuahua. He's aggravating, seems vicious, but you know he can't hurt you. If you kick the chihuahua across the room, you look like the bad guy... /my $.02

seacritter comments on "Return of the Idïot" (Chavez) by Alvaro Varga LLosa After living in Central and South America for a while, his article has a lot of good points. seacritter comments on Colombian Chicas - Someone please explain! Very spirited thread... So far, I've learned that the term gringo is for the average looking white guy that looks like he speaks some other language. It can be used as a slur or a compliment. It is the same as me calling a Columbiano a latino. I live in Panama, next door so to speak, and here they called the orientals chinos, blacks negros and such.
