romy comments on Chavez - Mentally ill?

perhaps If I was a reactionary I wouldn't understand what Chavez is saying either.

romy comments on For all you Anti-Uribe Farc loving bloggers!! Here is what your farc boys do for fun.

romy comments on Colombia's president can set a democratic example by saying no.

makopp, the executive cannot be investigated by the judiciary, fuck don't you know anything. Also paramilitaries forcing people to vote for Uribe is not democratic. Where did you learn about democracy?

romy comments on 2010 soccer World Cup - France qualifying over Ireland

I agree with Mitch, I don't think the people commenting otherwise have played competitive sports to believe athletes are a source of morality

romy comments on war within the next two years

Question: if Colombia needs 60,000 professional soldiers to beat down the FARC (and innocent civilians), who would take care of this while fighting Venezuela?

romy comments on Colombia's president can set a democratic example by saying no.

wtf are you talking about? we are discussing democracy in Colombia

romy comments on Colombia's president can set a democratic example by saying no.

yes this 'problem' with Chavez is very fortunate for Uribe

romy comments on 94% de colombianos son atendidos por instituciones de salud

huella, be grateful you do not need sisben and can afford to pay your EPS, unfortunately the majority of Colombians can't and even this pitiful system is bound to collapse with the abundance in inappropriate management.

romy comments on Colombia's president can set a democratic example by saying no.

I agree. However, Uribe shows no signs of having respect for democracy so I'm not very optimistic.

romy comments on 94% de colombianos son atendidos por instituciones de salud

stocktrader- the legislators pretended to make a happy-go-lucky universal coverage law for which they had no clue how it was going to be implemented and left it in the hands of the corrupt health system that are more concerned in how much money they will get back when they give out contracts than the care of people. It is the role of the judicial system to run a check and balance on the other branches (as they are subject to it as well) and are calling these useless congress people on their shit legislation. We can pretend the government is making things better because the law says so or push the government to actually do something about the very real issues. I'm not sure what Simon is celebrating???

romy comments on Organized Crime and the State in Colombia

Garay expresses what I feel very much in the following... GG: Would you prefer to avoid optimism when you think of Colombia’s future? LJG: I realistically view the deep problems we face in order to develop as a true democracy, but I’m optimistic that we, as a society, can react. Much is lacking, that is true, to arrive at true social justice and democracy.

romy comments on Why Plan Colombia has to go on

Expatriado, sorry, please just see that I was talking to a child. Of course I try to consider the diverse points of view. On wild rose, I can tell you young people aren't going to wild rose at least not the yuppie crowd, maybe the children of christ crowd but then Danielle Smith appears to be open for gay marriage and abortion so I don't know.... I don't really hang out with the old white man crowd so that's where things might be different.

romy comments on Why Plan Colombia has to go on

we have a conservative government in Canada, I can't stand conservatives, they are so backwards thinking

romy comments on Why Plan Colombia has to go on

makopp are you also blind? I don't think so. thus emphasizing the 'idiot' part of 'useful idiot'. I answered your question in the comment right above yours...

romy comments on Chavez's policies go from bad to worse

who is deserving? many people need to 'abuse' the system to escape misery...

romy comments on Chavez's policies go from bad to worse

do you also laugh at people on wheelchairs?

romy comments on Chavez's policies go from bad to worse

no, I left Argentina because my parents were done school and wanted to go home to Colombia. I left Colombia and came to Canada because my parents wanted me to study here and have been financed by them, I have not needed any charity. I have not gone back to live in Colombia because I feel more comfortable here than there, but I do like to go back for Christmas and be with my family. I have done work with people at the Calgary Catholic Immigrant Society though, many Colombians that are chased out of the country because of extreme violence. I would feel no shame to have found freedom from violence in Colombia if that had been my case. Your attempt to laugh at that situation is truly disgusting. I hope one day you can find inner happiness and not look at those not as fortunate as you to feel good about yourself.

romy comments on Chavez's policies go from bad to worse

makopp, you seem to be a gypsy, is that why you had to leave Europe?
