Best spot to pop the question... I'll be in Cartegena for about 5 days. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a very romantic location to ask the question of marriage to my girlfriend. I'm hoping to locate the most romantic spot in Cartegena. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

Beautiful People & Country. I spent 2 weeks in Pereira last Dec/Jan. From my experiences, I can truly say that the people in Colombia are beautiful inside and out. I enjoy the country so much for its beauty. I'm heading to Medellin in a couple of months to spend 2 weeks there. Colombia has left me a good impression that I'm planning to live there after my retirement from my current job which I have less than 7 years. The point I'm trying to make is that I FELL IN LOVE WITH COLOMBIA. Every few months I'm going to Colombia so I can decide where I will buy a home for my retirement, I heard so many good things about Medellin so I'm going to look for myself to get the experience. Since I speak Spanish fluently, it gave me more of an insight on how nice the people are and how comfortable they made me feel. QUE VIVE COLOMBIA!!

Still Living in NYC. It was my first time in Pereira. As far as for any change I don't know because it was my first time to Colombia. I'm returning again for 2 weeks but would like to see more of Colombia on my return trip. I still live in NYC. Email me for more specific info.

Pereira "Suca Bar" which is located across the street from Hotel Melia. There are other good bars & clubs close to the hotel, but don't wander out too far. I felt nervous going all the way out of the city.

Pereira My perspective of a single guy in Pereira. I'm a single man from NYC and what I can say about the women in Pereira is that they're very friendly but you need to initiate the conversation. I checked out several clubs in the area close to the hotel melia, which was one of the best hotels that I've been too compare any of the hotels here in NYC. The peoples attitude in Pereira were very positive and friendly. By the way I'm not a "Gringo" (American Cowboy). I speak spanish fluently (Puerto Rican). Which I never had any problems communicating with the locals. And by the way, I have 2 female friends waiting for my return trip to Pereira, GOT IT????
