At present we are in Paipa, Boyaca. After our first negative encounter we experienced in Bogata we have discovered the heart of Colombia and we are smitten. We intend to stay in Boyaca for the present and are working hard to improve our Spanish before moving on to Santander, if our several new found friends will allow it.
There is a possibility that we will transfer flights in Fort Lauderdale on our way home, I am embarrased to say I dont know how far Ft.L and Daytona Beach are apart. We are a little sad to find that you are not in Colombia

hi folks...well it's about 225 miles from ft lauderdale to daytona. it's about a three hour drive.

if you find yourselves in florida, please feel welcome to come by and visit. we'ld love the company. it'll be a couple more years before we can move home permanently. that's when the youngest enters university.

daytona itself is very dull. however, for daytona, we live in paradise. in a private golf community and love it.
