Rent in Baq roadrunner
You could pay anything from $450,000- $700,000 per month for a decent apartment. In the Prado district you may pay a little less.

I am a teacher and really like it here. Everyone I have met has been really friendly. I went to the carnival and loads of people asked me where I was from and were really concerned that I was having a good time. I live in the better part of town and have never fely threatened/unsafe. I often go down to the central market and again have not felt threatened, even though I stand out a mile from the locals. I think there are so few outsiders here, people are really pleased you are here as they are concerned with the image Colombia has abroad.
I have not been to Cali,so cannot compare. I am returning to England later on this year and it will be a shock going back to glum, and generally unhelpful people.

I'm a Gringa living in Barranquilla. Love the place. People have been really friendly and I actually feel safer here than where I was living in the UK. I also love the fact it is so close to Santa Marta and Cartagena.

You could spend a week in Ctg and a week in Santa Marta/Rodedero. This would be my option - depends what you like.

roadrunner comments on Question on security

visiting colombia I have been living in Barranquilla for 3 months and have had absolutely no problems. I have visited cartegena and Santa Marta and felt safe too. I am female, blonde and have my 3 year old son with me. If it were not safe, I would not be here. My husband was in Barcelona last year and was mugged - it can happen anywhere.

I have problems getting them to phone me back, so emailing is probably asking a bit to much. However I will try.

partners visas Your company should be able to help you with this. My partner is coming with from the UK. We had to provide an Oath of Affidavit from a solicitor and then get an apostile from the FCO. Good luck.

Teaching in BIC I also applied to teach at the school. They have phoned for references and said I was to be interviewed, but not heard anything yet. Am also trying to find out how safe it is. When will you hear? Where in China did you teach? Have also applied there.
