Only 30k AA miles from JFK to MDE (American Airlines)

I was able to redeem 30k AA miles to book a flight yesterday (tons of availability) on www.aa.com from JFK to MDE. There is a two hour layover in Miami (MIA) both ways. They did charge around USD$55 in taxes. For those of you sitting on a ton of American Express membership reward points, you can transfer those AA. I was surprised at the availability for many, many date. After June 20th, it goes up to 35k because I believe it is peak-season. My outbound date is late April, returning ...

PBH business venture! looking for an investment partner for a restaurant in Medellin

Hey everyone, so after making over six trips to Colombia in the past four years, I am very interested in taking the plunge and making a move to Medellin. I am looking for one or two fellow PBH'ers that would like to be investors. The options as far as how to structure things financially are wide open, but ideally I would like an ...

Unlocked iPhone in Bogota - How much? Should I bring to sell?

Hey all, Was wondering if anyone thought it made sense to bring 3-4 unlocked Apple iPhones down to Bogota with me to sell? I'm wondering how much these would fetch as they are not sold in the local market. It would work on all providers but the only available language would be in English. Perhaps if any of you are passing by a mobile phone store, you can inquire as to how much they would pay for 3-4 which they could then resell on their own. The cost of an 8GB iPhone worldwide is as f ...

Maid recommendation in Medellin (Sept 1-14)

All, I will be in Medellin from Sept 1-14th and have rented a 3br apartment in Poblado for the time. I need a maid that will come by in the mornings to clean up the place and cook breakfast for 4 folks. I'm guessing each day will be 2 hours -- plus we'd like if she went shopping for the groceries. If you live there or know someone that is dependable and trustworthy, please let me know. Preferences for a hot paisa! Thx in advance! ...
