redradish comments on Colombian tasty treats without meat? Check out the restaurant Quinoa y Amaranto on Calle 11 in Bogota (La Candelaria neighborhood), great vegetarian lunches, by far the best I've found in Bogota.

redradish comments on Great Desserts other than Crepes & Waffles French pastry shop on Calle 9 just above Carrera 2. As far as I'm concerned it's the only good "pastry" in La Candelaria. Tarts, chocolate croissant, cookies, all that kind of buttery stuff.

redradish comments on I know we're not supposed to ask questions about travelling in Colombia anymore but... unfortunately, my article on the smoking-hot puppetry scene in Vermont got cut short. it would take months, possibly even years to fully research that article and seduce it into its highest potential, if you will. Alas my trip to Colombia got in the way of that.

redradish comments on I know we're not supposed to ask questions about travelling in Colombia anymore but... thanks for the advice everyone. we're gonna bus to Medellin and fly to Nuqui instead of the whole BV thing. a good change of plan i think. once we get to the coast we're gonna bogart a canoe from one of the eco-hotels, paddle up to the Panama border, and when we get there we'll go ashore, build a fire and roast a parrot to celebrate our journey.
