This is heading for major deflation just wait for the jobless figures to rise, and we are in for a major recession and yes money is going to flood out of Colombia and high risk markets.

The doctors were clueless and rude.I work in U.K. healthsystem and I know it and Spanish well as I worked in both as doctor but the Bogota one is definitely worse than either Spanish or UK.

I think it happens elsewhere as well sometimes the best way to get to a woman is to go out with her friend! I think also that for Colombianas that their self esteem is related to their appearance and their pulling power and they get insanely jealous but they hate it when they get the same medicine it must be very sad for them being so shallow and superficial when they reach their 30s when they have lost their looks with nothing to fall back on.

IMHO neither mexican nor colombian food is anything special and I have eaten home cooking ...I suppose you have to be born there to like it. There are other things in Colombia, thankfully, besides the food.Probably for you Colombian guys the food has deep seated childhood memories and I completely understand that ...for me the smell alone of olive oil and seafood stew, morcilla, boquerones brings back really strong memories ...it is more than just food!

raulinho comments on Explaining Retirement and Care Homes I don't think elderly relatives living with their family will be bored in fact they have the great stimulation of having grandchildren and greatgrandchildren to interact with, my grandmum adored my sons and she was very alert till the end. I see it all the time working in a hospital how people dump their grandparents and how these people are treated in nursing homes is sometimes awful. It definitely is not advancing the cause of the human race , but everyone is getting more and more selfish everywhere and nursing homes are becoming more common in mediterranean countries where you would never see them before.
