i am black i had no problem meeting women in colombia, dating them, taking them out on the town... been too bogota, baq, ctg and santa marta. had no problem getting any woman. the key factor is GRINGO. and i speak enough spanish to get by. and now i am currently married to my wife for over 2 years met her there and she is from a middle class family. we are currently living in the nyc ohh and her family never looked at me funny they have always liked me from day 1. and yes they do consider themself white.

blk guy here hi all i'm blk and i have been to colombia more than 4 time i have always travel alone..........i dress normal, none of that name brand stuff like i'm from the getto, regular and casual and i have never once been treated with disrespect or looked at funny. how's my spanish ,well lets just say i get by... colombians are very friendly and always willing to help and try to understand what i am saying and help out as best that they can.........i have been to ctg baq and santa marta futher south i'm not sure about .

mid feb i did my filing on the 10 of feb for 130 and the k3 feb 27......its now sept, the k3 was suppose to reunite the family in order to keep the family together but i think they have lost focus on that,
since feb i have been there 2 times already and now it seems like its going to be a 3rd time b4 my paperwork gets process. i'm going to be bankrupt by the time this is over. lol

thnx for all the info utopia..........this is such a long drawn out process, the 129 is suppose to get them here quicker but if its only a couple of months they really need to add more people to that department.........
i think even tho the k1 keeps asking for more proof at least its faster and your paperwork is in bogota and its a matter of showing that the relationship is real
you spend months getting paperwork to get married there....... then you spend more months waiting on k3 visa to be approve by that time you would of made 3-4 trips to bogota with the k1 visa and showing documents that the relationship is real and still come out quicker than the k3 visa

Utopia thnx for the info, my 129 is still pending and its 7 days away from the processing dates, i think i have read somewhere that they cancle your 129 if your 130 has been approve is that true?

hi guys my/our application was approve (I130)and i am waiting on word from nvc so i will be in the same boat as u guys in a few weeks so please keep posting your progress and degress so i and others will know what to expect in the future and for those silent viewers who read and don't post my application was approve on the 19 of aug.(vermont)and i haven't receive word from nvc yet and i am hoping for a late sep or early oct date for appoinmentas,as per the time frame you guys have been posting with your progress and i am trying to book flights for around those dates so my wife and i can fly back together including the 7-10 days wait for the visa to return in the mail , so i beg of you guys to keep posting and keep your dates so others like myself would kinda have a time frame of what to expect of our love ones to return to the us to start our new vidas

more info needed Bill how does this work, you explain a little but I (we) need more info. what airline? Can it be a one way or does it have to be round trip? and as far as destination (e.g., Boston to Bogota to Santa Marta, or one way in reverse........lets say that's my flight plan) can you accommodate all destinations?

come here on tourist visa and get married here have you looked into comming here on a visitor visa since she already has it and then getting married here and then file for a change of status here in the USA i'm not sure about the process but i think it can be done.

5 months now and still waiting its been 5 months now and still waiting for my k3 visa to be approve,,, actually 5 months and they haven't even get to it yet.....its taking a long time for processing......i think processing for a fiances visa is much faster according to the dates on uscis website

JUST GOT MARRIED IN JANUARY i did not get a visa but it took a long time to get national registration..after 5 months of waiting we got it......i got married in santa marta and we got married in a church..... i had to prove that i was a catholic, i had to get my baptisim documents ...i had to get a letter from my mother notirize stating i wasn't married and i had to write a letter stating that i wasn't married also he has to attend a class in church which takes all day......but i was able to bypass that by sitting and talking to the father for a few hours a week b4 the wedding...... thats my imput on church weedings
