In the midst of my pain

A couple of days ago I couldn't sleep from the tremendous toothache that hijacked my sleep.....so bad was the pain I was begging for my haemorrhoids to come back. Very, very rarely do we get the suspense in other leagues that we get in the Colombian league when the season reaches a climax.

inconsistency

I don't post in the Spanish forum as much as I should....when I eventually post something in the spanish forum to pass on my regards to everyone celebrating el dia del amor y amistad it gets moved....must be a good reason....yet when someone posted a note on the 4th of July wishing everyone a happy independance day the post was kept (wtf has the american indipendence have to do with Colombia? at least el Dia del amor y amistad is celebrated in Colombia) ...

i don't post many comments in the politics and war forum but the one i did regarding the kyoto treaty was just taken off by one of the ops.....interesting how instead of just editing the post (which wasn't excessive in vulgarity) i just put screw the states at the end (that bit i could have understood if it was edited).
I think the post was just and raised a valid point.....why did you guys take it off?
Perhaps there was a milligram of thruth on that post? ...

Colombians teaching english in Colombia

I have noticed a lot of threads concerning the teaching route in Colombia, but most of these address the foreigner coming to Colombia.....I am a Colombian citizen who has lived in London for over 20 years and have just dropped out of uni (long story) I was doing English literature with Philosophy but my aim was to finish the bleeding degree and do a TEFL. This would give me the flexibility to take English teaching jobs in other countries...I was thinking of spending some time in France, Thailand ...

Dissapointed

Just like to point out how dissapointed I was when travelling back home last summer. A few things I saw that just bemused me (for wany of a better word)...can anyone tell me why we have an Avenue named Roosevelt in Cali?..(what was wrong with Bolivar, Ocampo, Rojas-Pinilla or another national figure?)...now I know that Roosevelt is held in high esteem for the role he played during the 2nd World War but why are we naming Avenues (and pretty big ones in a big city) after American presidents?
